My wife and I stopped by this hidden little gem of a restaurant. She had snails and chorizo I hade meats n cheese and strip steak. Portions were not huge but everything had excellent flavor and no plate left our table with a hint of food on it. The pate was out of this world with a simply put mans... More

Looks might deceive you from the outside. It looks like any other quaint little shop in Kingston, however, the food was amazing!

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The parking is "on-street" and on a Friday evening we had to park a couple of blocks away. I had wiener-schnitzel, which was very good, but the portions of the "sides" were a bit small; my wife had truffle Mac'nCheese, which was wonderful, but with less salt would have been much more wonderful.... I went with friends. Two of us had dietary considerations. The chef refused to honor any of them. I wanted my "bun" left off the hamburger. The waiter stated that the chef felt the artistic presentation would be ruined, and he would not allow that. My friend had an allergist's diet recommendations. She had to find food that fit, rather... More

The Elephant is a small quiky wine and tappas bar in uptown Kingston. The food is outstanding. The tappas and the entrees pair ingredients and flavors very creatively making it a unique culinary experience. They offer a large variety of Spanish or Portugese wines to please any taste. What a wonderful asset for uptown dining. I absolutely love this restaurant.... More

Elephant in Kingston, especially for such a small place, has wonderful food. We have dinner with them at least once we're in the area. Everything is unusually good: the burger, the small plates, the large plates, the specials of the day, even the salad! Service is warm and hospitable, wines are decent, prices are bargains.

I love Elephant. It's my favorite place to drink wine in the area. This is due in part to the fact that the wine selection is always interesting and the servers know them well. The atmosphere is also really cool: a tapas/wine bar that plays punk rock on vinyl is not something you are going to come across often. (And... More

Food was Good But Music sometimes too agressive ... Considering that is a small cute place. Service was good and fast I was only bit annoyed about the smell of the place ...

My daughter Sarah and I found this restaurant which was open later than most restaurants in the Kingston-Rhinebeck-Tivoli area, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Our food was delicious and the waitress incredibly attentive but in a sensitive non-interfering way! Everyone should definitely try this very hip Elephant!!! And this comes from very food-choosie San Francisco Bay... More

In a few months I have been to the Elephant many times. This place has been in existence for quite a few years but it just crossed my radar screen recently and we have loved the food and service for many months now....sometimes twice in one week. The hug you get when you walk in is only the beginning of... More
