Had dined at the Ripe Tomato about four years ago. Determined to find it again when returning from Quebec. Even on a crowded Saturday Evening, the gracious host was able to get me excellent seating. Began with Salmon Cakes, which I can never resist. These were superior and served with a delicious spicy salad between the two large cakes. The... More

This is our favorite restaurant in Malta. A large menu specializing in Italian fare. I have never had a bad experience there. Good prices and service. One of the best brunch locations around and Santa visits in December.

Do you remember when you were a child and your father and mother decided to take the kids out of the city for a nice meal and drive to the country. You went to a nice restaurant with pictures of baseball players from the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Yankees. There was a telephone booth. Eyelet curtains. Checkered table clothes? Got... More

The Ripe Tomato is my favorite restaurant. I love the food and most especially the brunch offered every Sunday. This is the restaurant I always bring my visitors from out-of-town, as I know it will never disappoint.

I have been coming to the Ripe Tomato for what seems like all of my life! Whether it's track season or I'm just in town to see family I'm stopping in. However, the best kept secret may be the Sunday brunch! My personal favorite and must be experienced!

Friendly atmosphere, historic structure with many nooks and crannies. I do love the Cedar Plank Salmon, but always nix the rice and ask for more veggies. They are very accommodating. He loves the traditional spaghetti and sausage. I love the sauce, but not a fan of the sausage due to the texture--but I understand that is a personal taste issue.... More

Conveniently located on Route 9 a few miles south of Saratoga Springs, The Ripe Tomato - advertising Italian standards and American comfort in a cozy, wood-paneled space full of old-fashioned charm -- offered us a warm, cozy atmosphere, excellent service and a pleasing light lunch on a cold, rainy day in mid-January. My wife enjoyed a shrimp and ravioli dish... More

I came here twice in the past week while visiting home for vacation. The cedar salmon and haddock almondine are two of my favorite dishes. They were cooked to perfection. My waitresses on both nights were prompt and accommodated my requests with a smile and precision. The restaurant itself is a great family oriented environment. I was greated by the... More
