Saw the Mardi Gras ad & went. It's small but oh boy was the food good. The atmosphere a converted rail car so cute, super friendly staff. Gumbo, shrimp creole, grits & smoked turkey collard greens, BBQ baked beans & spiced up veggies, Crawfish Étouffée. Service is quick, turnover of tables important in such a small space. BYOB. Go go... More

I feel like you can't miss with this place. We had the special of the day, Fried green tomatoes topped with crawfish and a creamy peppercorn sauce. It was quite delicious, beautifully presented, yet simple. We also had the brisket special, with smoked turkey collard greens and brown sugar sweet potato mash on the side. All very good, but a... Don't judge a book by it's cover! This is some of the best bbq I've had & I have been living on LI for over 20 years! I wish I knew about this place sooner! The biscuits & gravy are the size of your head & the meat is tender. Definitely better than any of the chain or commonly known... More

An out of the way place in an industrial area. The people that work here are very welcoming and genuinely nice. Definitely not a fancy place but clean. We were a party of 5 and some wanted Ribs...lol! We started out with a variety of apps, which were delicious! Definitely try the chicken fingers and the baked macaroni & cheese... More

We stopped here for lunch after reading some prior reviews. The restaurant (trailer) is small, turned perpendicular to the main road. It would be pretty easy to miss. Once inside, it is kind of like an AirStream trailer with counter seating and some tables along the windows. We has BBQ Brisket wraps for lunch and the meat had just the... More

This restaurant is hidden in an industrial area of Mineola. It is an old diner. The food is incredible. I was there for lunch recently. It is cash only. If you want beer or wine, you must bring your own. Service is great. I thought that prices were reasonable. I had a cup of seafood gumbo and a po'boy with... More

This is a small trailer-like diner that is somewhat rundown, BUT clean. The service is very attentive. They offer only non-alcoholic beverages, but many folks bring their own libations, as we did. It is a bit pricey & cash only. They do however have some of the most delicious cajun & southern delicacies ever! The stuffed pork chops with demi... More

Drive up to this joint and it's a shiny, Deco looking diner that you wouldn't expect to find as a survivor of bygone days. Kinda tiny for a diner, nowadays, but really popular. Had to wait for a table since it looked like it wouldn't seat more than about 30 at a time. Well worth the wait. The food was... More

The food is excellent. Absolutely tops. There is no other reason to go there. Yes it's a bit pricey , cash only, an old fashioned somewhat run down diner , byob etc., etc., etc. I was there for lunch and ordered the pulled pork Ruben with cole slaw and a delicious sauce which promptly arrived on a very fresh roll.... Reasonably priced southern food. The BBQ ribs were really good. I had sides of BBQ beans and jalapeno mashed potatoes. The brisket was good, but not as filling. Our appetizers of alligator jambalaya mac and cheese were both excellent. Next time I will know to ask for sauce on the side, not because the sauce wasn't good, I just prefer... More
