So much disappointment in Montauk lately except for this Gem. Great wine, great service, great food - fresh, simple, sophisticated. We went twice and loved it both time. Having dinner outside, so the kids can play while you wait, the guests were so relaxed and played with our kids (thank you). Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommended.

Such a cute and fun restaurant with good food and a nice atmosphere. We went with a group and kids and everyone felt comfortable. The server were very nice and it felt we were in a camp with the wooodem rustic feel.

The waiter highly recommended the burger almost as soon as we sat for a quiet early evening dinner. Because it was so highly touted, all four of us ordered the burger. They were out of several of the appetizers we had wanted to try. My husband ordered a side of bok choi. The dishes arrived quickly. The bok choi was... More

After being seated we noticed there were ants crawling on the window sill (not one but many) above our seats. We pointed them out and asked to move to a booth. They didn't do anything about the ants and sat another couple there a few minutes later...disgusting. Not only were the prices outrageous, but the portions were small and the... More

Great atmosphere and very good food. Here's the problem. Is there any reason for a kale appetizer salad to be $18? Or a split pea soup to be $18 as well? Sorry Ruschmeyer's, but we won't be back simply for that reason. Really?!!!

Came here on a Friday nite at 7:30. Place was gearing up for their weekend DJ bar scene. Drinks were poor. Only lobster roll I ever had I didn't like. $28 for a hamburger. Bill was exorbitant. This place is for 20 somethings ONLY.

Lets first begin with sitting 8- 30 yr old women at the high top table in the middle of a crowded bar at 9:30pm. We are all pretty laid back and figured it wouldn't be too bad. By the end of dinner people were practically sitting on our laps. Putting their drinks on our table. One kid even touched our... More

This restaurant was really fun. The service was great, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was fantastic. Go early unless you like the bar and drinking scene. Make a reservation for sure.

Was in Montauk for Memorial Day weekend and wound up here for dinner on Monday night. The name Ruschmeyers goes way back in Montauk so as we passed by we thought it would be a good choice. WRONG. Apparently it's been bought by a new "group" and it's has nothing to do with comfort food anymore. We ordered rye whiskey... More

Great spot for a dinner with friends out in Montauk. I went with a party of 6 and made a booking a month in advance. I wanted to go there because they have good food, good service, and an awesome after-dinner indoor / outdoor bar scene. The food is very tasty and they have a thoughtful menu, though a little...
