I am a regular patron at the Village Tea Room. I have been there for casual afternoon dates with my friends, for special celebratory Afternoon Teas with my children, for brunch with my visiting out of town guests, for date nights with my husband, and for one amazing birthday evening when I turned a certain important number I shall not... I stumbled upon this restaurant through a google search as we were looking for a caterer for our wedding. We both feel so lucky to have found this gem so close to home. We enjoy Agnes' effort to incorporate the area's most local produce and goods in her delectable treats. We are so excited to have the pleasure of having... More

I love this place. I've been here on many occasions over many years and everything I've had has been delicious. Their desserts are also out of this world.

This is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of the Village. The owners clearly care about what they are serving as this is truly a farm to table restaurant - Quality of food very evident Dingle Pie-out of this world Macaroons-best in hudson valley Teas brewed to perfection A MUST if you are visiting the Hudson Valley

I've been to this place numerous times, since I live in town and I wanted to give them a fair shake. First of all, as many others here have noted, there are the waitresses. To offer just one example of their sterling service, if they make a recommendation and you pass on it, they frown at you for not listening... More

The building is historic and inviting. The menu is different but nice selection for lunch and dinner. Great food, nice beverage selection including pots of tea, and yummy desserts! Definitely will frequent this place!

We dined here on our one night in New Paltz, recommended by our innkeeper. The meal was tasty, wine list more than adequate, service very good, and desserts out of this world. We appreciated the farm to table aspect of this place and all the ingredients were in good hands. Only down side to our meal was a very loud... More

Village Tea Room is one of the nicest place to spend a couple of hours. Delicious slow cooked local fare. Delicious drinks and tea. Love sitting out on the deck in nice weather. Lunch time favorites include the grilled cheese sandwich and the corn chowder. My happy place! The shaker lemon pie is to die for.

After enjoying a nice lunch at Bacchus and spending time exploring New Paltz a friend and I made our way over for special dessert. A charming farmhouse converted into a tea room; we shared a delicious pot of earl grey, a slice of honeybee cake and Shaker lemon pie. The pie is the original tart lemon with rind and curd... More
