We held our wedding reception at the Red Coach Inn 37 years ago, and have enjoyed every visit to the restaurant since then. This evening was extra special because our children gave us a gift certificate to celebrate my 60th birthday with a romantic meal with the love of my life. We arrived early to walk around the Falls before dining in front of the inviting fireplace. Alaina, our exceptionally attentive and skilled server, capped our delicious dinners (sweet and spicy shrimp appetizer, pear salad and steak, and French onion soup and chicken French) with her sweet singing voice and a scrumptious carrot cake topped with candle. It was a perfect evening!

Red Coach Inn was quaint and romantic. We had a room with a great view of the rapids and it was exceptionally close to the state park (across the street). The food a breakfast was delicious; however, the service was quite slow. Additionally, we had trouble getting reservation at the inn for dinner, which was disappointing, although the lack of reservation space may have been due to limited capacity caused by Covid (the hostess didn’t provide an explanation).

Thank you for your visit and the review. I am excited to hear that you had a romantic stay during your visit to Niagara Falls. We apologize for any inconvenience - our restaurant is operating on limited capacity due to COVID-19 and we've taken out tables to be able to practice physical distancing, and due to this, our seating is limited. I am glad to know you got to enjoy breakfast still. We hope to have another opportunity to accommodate and serve you whenever you are back in the area. Please see us again soon!

We stopped in for an early lunch mid-week off-season and were not disappointed. The turkey & apple sandwich was delicious and my son enjoyed a chicken sandwich special as well. We were too full for dessert, but it looked amazing!

We came to this restaurant specifically for 2 things the shepherd's pie and the 5.99 drink special. It started with them being out of Shepard pie among other things..although there was only 3 tables in the place. Then we ordered the drink special I saw online, on their exact website. Turns out they don't make the drink. I've served before and I know enough to know that if its on your website you honor it. The manager refused to make us the drink that they advertised after we spent over $100 on lunch for two. I live local, this was both of our first times and our last. What terrible customer service, the manager should be ashamed of themselves.
Also they forgot our lemons, salt and pepper, and numerous other things but over all the waitress was nice and helpful. I blame it all on bad management. The lemons I can forget the dishonor of your advertised menu items..... inexcusable.

Staff was super friendly however service was extremely slow. Food took 45 minutes to arrive at table (2 appetizers and 2 kids chicken fingers). Food was not terrible but definitely not great quality.

I reserved this restaurant for the fact that it has been around since 1923. I loved the history aspect of it all. I however, didn’t love the service or the fact that for a beautiful restaurant the staff/management do not care about the small details that could put this place over the top. The first thing I noticed was the filthy rug all black from where people walk. Also, the night we went I had to hunt a waitress down to put rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom as there was none, then secondly upon going to wash my hands no soap in the dispenser. Now on to dinner service. Our waitress while friendly, not very attentive at all. Didn’t ask how dinner was, check for refills and when dessert came didn’t ask if we wanted coffee at all until we almost finished with our dessert. The menu; food was good. Not great, but good. They didn’t have a few of the offerings on the menu because they ran out. The alcoholic beverages were watered down. For a supposed higher end restaurant this was borderline McDonalds service. Customer service and look and feel are super important in making patrons feel welcomed and having an overall great experience. The experience and food are not worth the value this restaurant charges at all.

Went there for anniversary dinner with my husband and family and was so disappointed. First, the prices are astronomical per entree. There is no salad or soup included in the price. The marinara sauce on my child’s pasta tasted bitter and like it was old & came from a jar. The scallops tasted strange. They were either not fresh or cooked in a non stick pan causing a chemical reaction taste or both. My pasta was overcooked. All in all the food was terrible and we left 90% of it on our plates. It was not eatable. This place needs a professional cook/ chef or drastically reduce prices because the food presented to us was NOT anywhere near gourmet quality at all and definitely NOT worth $150.00 we spent. The service was equally lacking. We only saw our waitress when the food came out and to drop off the check. Not once did she come around to check in with us. There were flies all over the place, pestering while we were attempting to eat. Our experience was memorable but NOT in a good way.

Wayne at the bar as well as the waitresses were friendly. The salad with pears was delicious as well as the peanut butter pie!
When my husband ordered a filet mignon, it came room temperature with a sauce on it - it wasn't warm and we rarely put sauce on this type of meat.
Breakfasts seemed to be of hotel chain quality and not what one would expect of a boutique inn. Eggs and vegetables left us hoping for more when compared to other restaurants and cafes.

Loved the atmosphere, which is why we stayed here. The service was good. The meal I had was on the menu as cedar plank salmon. It was actually slightly overdone grilled salmon served on a small piece of cedar that had nothing to do with the cooking process. That was a bit disappointing.

We have dreamed about this restaurant since last visit 5 years ago but we didn’t get the outstanding service and excellent service like the last time. We were bothered by the bugs, and were waiting for 25 minutes to make an order since seated. Our plates were dirty, with spots of foods, and also fair presentation : spilled food on dishes. The food was average, nothing extraordinarily. The service was terrible, the waitress was overwhelmed with too many tables, and seemed she has a lack of experience. We Never return again.

Gotta give these people credit, just as one needs to give credit to Any tourism or hospitality based business trying to survive during this pandemic. The small crew of employees went out of their way to make our party of 13 feel welcomed, safe, accommodated, informed and served.
We had a variety of items off of the menu from kid plates to NY strip steaks. Aside from a little bobble w the kitchen everyone enjoyed their meals.

The food was overcooked, tough, and flavorless. $90 meal, I expected much more. service was just OK not great. Had 3 dinners in Niagra Falls, this was not good and the most expensive. Lots of other nice family owned places, don't waste your time or money on this one.

I would only give one star for dinner Friday evening: the service was quite slow (even water was late in coming!), six of the eight in our party weren't impressed with our entrees, and bar service was almost nonexistent. Did not at all meet expectations for that price point. However, five stars for the included breakfast - fabulous, prompt service and wonderful, abundant food. Great value for the breakfast voucher that came with our hotel stay!

The breakfasts which were included in our hotel reservation were varied and delicious but the service was a bit slow. If planning on dinner here don't wait to make your reservations . Friday and Saturday evenings were already booked by our check
in at about 5 p.m.

Restaurant is okay to look at but it stops there. Our waitress tried to help us but I knew we were in trouble when we ordered a bottle of wine and she brought us 4 glasses of already decanted wine. We told her we ordered a bottle of wine and she apologized and returned with a bottle of wine already opened and the original 4 glasses of wine. We tasted the wine and it was awful. I asked for clean glasses so we could try the bottle that we ordered. It took over a half hour to get 1 new clean glass. When I finally tasted the wine from the bottle it tasted differently and was far superior. It then took an additional 20 minutes to get 3 clean glasses. It appears that the bar tried to pull a bait and switch! When our waitress finally returned we told her what happened and she apologized and claimed they were short of help. I would never recommend this restaurant. We were told never eat in a pricey restaurant around the falls, we should drive to Lewiston! About a 10-15 minute ride from Niagara Falls. We should have listened !
