The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere with a mix of upscale dining. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent as were the drinks. Good menu that included a variety of dishes.

We stopped here after a day of skiing. The ambience was lovely, and when we arrived at 6 PM, we had the two servers all to ourselves. The place quickly filled up and the servers were overtaxed, slowing down the service. The chicken pita sandwich...and chips were tasty, whereas my wife's salad was just mediocre. Go for the pub fare.More

We had a nice quiet meal at Trappers. The calamari was tasty, our Cobb salad was hearty yet thankfully modest in size and the risotto (a very generous serving) was quite rich but very delicious. The only thing I’d steer away from is the chocolate...cake. It was not at all on par with the rest of the great food served there.More

This review is in regards to the restaurant as I did not stay at the hotel. Wildly unimpressed and the 'chef' needs a crash course in what fresh is and how to plat. We had lunch there and a simple chicken Caesar salad I guess...was too tough to handle. overcooked chicken coupled with croutons from 2010 made for an unimpressive time. Partner had a chicken gyro with an aioli that was essentially mayo with a touch of paprika mixed in. Pita bread was stale and barely touched by the grill. One minuscule piece of under-cooked bacon and two small slivers of avocado made up the remainder of the gyro. HR of this 'new' ownership needs to review their hiring practices... or rehire the former chef when it was Copperfield Inn & Resort who had it all together!More

Considering there’s less than 5-6 choices in town, we have no complaints. Very nice log cabinet ambience, friendly staff and comfortable lounge type seating. Good beer selection. Food ? Think high school cafeteria, or prison food. More things fried on the menu than cooked, that...tells you everything. The strip steak is probably the best on the menu, but do not confuse with striploin, it’s like a flank steak 1 cm thick and tiny portions. Way Over cooked, med rare turned cardboard fully cooked. The spaghetti with meat balls is literally the worst I’ve had in my life. Remove all traces of Italian cooking or expectations. Think prison or junior high cafeteria, Luke warm, and........ just wrong. Come in with pup food expectations and not much better than the Gore mountain cafeteria, and you’ll go home semi happy.More

Went in with a group of 6 of us, and was happy to be in the nice AC and very few people there at that time. Had drinks and apps with a few having a lunch item as well. Had a little problem with the...chips in the Brisket Nachos(Server was awesome about it) but was happy with the results on it after we told her. Was not kitchens fault, was manufacturers fault. All cleared up and we all were happy with our visit. Lots of drink choices and covers almost all tastes in beer. Will be happy to stop there again.More

Had gone there for lunch a few months ago. Dinner was so much better. Moderately priced, nice ambiance. Service was a bit slow, but it was ok. We weren't in any hurry. Nice selection of food. Wife had lamb stew and I had Artic Char....Nice dessert selection. Would definitely go back.More

A few years back my wife and I ate at Trappers and the food was okay. We went with friends tonight and name on the door was Lorenzo's. My wife and friend had rack of lamb and it was outstanding. Since it was St Patrick's...Day our other friend had corn beef and cabbage and it could have been a meal for 2. I had sea scallops over risotto with a bacon jam sauce - unbelievable. The service was good, because it was St Patrick's Day our waitress was hustling.More

Never had a bad meal lunch or dinner. Wait staff very friendly. Love the fire place, great moose head over it. Good place to stop in after skiing.

Nice, rustic log cabin setting, good bar and food. And the mounted moose that was shot by Teddy Roosevelt gives it an historic facet. Great hang after a day outdoors!
