“Roka” Restaurant is settled in an old building of 1912 with interesting architecture –in an area where you can admire old preserved captain houses. The warm colors of the small courtyard filled with trees and flowers give you the feeling of a relaxing and pleasant welcome escaping from the crowd. Inside there are three small charming rooms to sit ideal for some colder nights near the wooden stove and enjoy delicate flavors. On the backside of the restaurant there is wonderful sea view of the northwest side of the island. Hidden and private but only a few minutes away from the main marble walk way. A new team with fresh ideas took over the restaurant on 2017 continuing the good work. Our vision is for the visitors to feel welcome and at home receiving experienced, attentive and friendly treatment.

This place, a bit secluded from the main street, was a great discovery, absolutely the best value for money in our opinion, non-trivial dishes cooked with expert care (an anthology-worthy lamb!!), prices in the average range. The island is therefore quite high, but I must say the prices are very justified. Both the pergola, the internal room and the terrace are beautiful

We found this place almost by accident, and fortunately I would add! The location is very characteristic, it seems to immerse yourself in a typical Greek house, and the food what to say .. amazing! They managed to mix traditional dishes with some modern touches, making each dish delicious and beautiful to look at. The staff guys who served us were very friendly and kind. The price, despite being in Oia, is lower than average but this does not affect the quality of the food, indeed it was the best restaurant of the whole holiday. Consigliatissimo!

Typical restaurant inside Oia, on the edge of pedestrian traffic inside the streets of the village.
Staff a bit 'cold but not unsympathetic who welcomed us through online Reservation, neat and clean room with a view outside that gives the sea, although far enough away, only flaw the houses and electrical cables that worsen the view.

My fiancée and I arrived at the place and no one welcomed us, so we went in and looked for a table to sit. We placed our order and soon after, an employee came to say that we entered without identifying ourselves and that we couldn't be there, that we only had to make a reservation. She continued saying that we had two options: eat everything in 30 minutes or move tables, we tried to explain that we were not received by anyone or alerted of the need for a reservation. We chose to change tables to eat calmly, as we were on our honeymoon and went to relax and enjoy Greece. Then, having barely finished the appetizer, she took our glasses and placed us at another table. We ate the main course and again we were surprised by the poor service from the waiters, it took 30 minutes to bring the bill after we had asked for it 4 times.
I don't recommend the restaurant and would never go again, as it had the worst service in Santorini and not to mention that the dishes are much more expensive than other restaurants. If the flavor was better than other restaurants and the service was good, the price would be justified, but quite the opposite! Terrible service and ok food.

We strive to make every customer happy, and while we try to fullfill every visitor’s wish sometimes errors may occur.
Let us inform you that Roka deals mostly with reservations (through our website, social media phone call,or email) and of course we always try to accommodate pass by customers.
Some evenings we are incredibly full or we have too many special requests that we have to deal with.
That's why there is always a hostess at the front door / entrance (some busy nights we may have two hostesses. )
By the time you arrived it was probably a moment that no one was at the entrance ,for seconds, as we ascort customers at the tables so probably you should wait for someone to talk to you very shortly as this is the usual at most restaurants.
Still, probably our waiters thought that you have already talked to the hostess and was leading you to your table,that's why you entered..
Unfortunately (and we undersand it is not pleasant) we had to move you to another table for your main course after you finished your appetizer.
We would not like of course for you to have a bad opinion about our restaurant. If you are still on the island, pls call us or send us an email.

First off. I will commend the restaurant for the kebab and for seating us a bit late. But our experience was less than memorable after that. Turns out that that ordering a side of Naxos potatoes was an impossible ask. They only have enough potatoes for the ribeye they told me. Krinaki was more than happy to offer sides of potatoes the previous night (go there. It’s awesome). They served the red snapper (€30) fried over spinach (?). We have had many fish in our day and this one had no salt, was simply fried, and the spinach was bitter. We asked for salt and barely ate it. After a back and forth with the server about the lack of potatoes and a ton of ‘we don’t offer sides’, there was no apology or every a care to ask of we are enjoying it or if they could replace it with something better or an offer for desert. We paid and left immediately to eat some delicious potatoes at Oenosart!

We apologize for not meeting your expectations, but we’d like to take a moment to explain. You arrived quite late, just as the kitchen was about to close, and while we did explain this to you, you chose to stay (and we appreciate that).
When you requested French fries, we mentioned that we could only serve them with the rib eye dish (this is related to how our menu is structured). Please note that our menu does not mention Naxos potatoes. For the red snapper, we do not use spinach; we use mainly sweet, local greens.
Lastly, we're glad you enjoyed your time at Krinaki and Oenos Art! Both belong to the same group of restaurants, designed to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences!

We loved this spot for our first night in Santorini! Our server immediately brought us two goat cheese tarts to welcome us when we got there which was a great touch.
From there, we got the basket of bread appetizer which was delicious. The dipping sauces on the side were fantastic - don’t skip this dish, it’s so cheap!
We got the squid and red mullet for our main courses. The red mullet was my favorite, but the squid was delicious as well.
I strongly believe this is the best bang for your buck for seafood in Santorini! Definitely check it out!

Great meal. Not classical Greek, but recognizable. Very expensive by “Greek” standards, but that probably depends on the location. The food is much more original than what is offered here. Service very friendly. Drink the bottle quickly, because the dishes are on the table faster when the bottle is opened.

We visited the restaurant one evening in August.
The only bad thing was the "bad understanding" that took place in the Reservation of the table. We kept a table on the balcony, finally ate inside the store because of as they told us a bad understanding.
But the food was confessably very good. What we tried was deliciously based on Greek products with modern touches. We only had one failure, we asked the dishes not to have any pepper or anything hot because of allergy. While they tried to do it, the waiter who received the order did not know the composition of the dishes so we ate something that was ⁇ hot without knowing it.
Otherwise very nice food, honest at very good prices (especially for Santorini very good).

The food at Roka was good, we had Greek salad, carpaccio and a red snapper. Everything was very good, but nowhere near as good as elsewhere in Greece. There is no doubt to me that the influx of tourists allow for high prices and lower quality food. Overall, I would not return, but the meal was fine and the location was nice.

Off the main drag, a little hidden away but simple enough to get to, we relied on reviews for a good, authentic Greek restaurant and we weren’t disappointed.
Very reasonably priced food, which was delicious. We had three courses with wine and cost was about €55 per person.
We liked it so much, we visited a second time a few days later.

Hard to miss and won’t come up on many must eat lists of Santorini other than those who truly enjoy food. We found aroma through diligent research and glad we included in our itinerary of Santorini. Started with melt in your mouth Carpaccio. The smell of the truffle hits you before the dish arrives at your table. The Gruyère for Naxos was a surprise hit for me as I usually don’t like Gruyère. Fresh fish ceviche was also very delicious. Our table of 4 orders the Lamb Duology, Red Snapper, and Rizoto to share as entrees. All were quite delicious on their own but sharing these different but complimentary flavors was better than expected. The service was great throughout our experience including helping us avoid the glare and heat of the sun even as the day was ending - we had enough of the heat from throughout the day so happy to take dinner in some shade.

Terrible service. The waitress was super rude. An older waitress. She kicked us out of our table because she said that the outside table was by reservation only, but no one told us that beforehand, and her justification was that we came in without saying “hello” to anyone, which wasn't true because we said good night to 2 Waiters at the entrance, and we were already sitting and eating when she kicked us out. I don't even have comments for the food because the service was so bad that it completely ruined the experience. The food comes in very little quantity compared to other places that have as much quality as this one. I would not return and do not recommend:

Roka in Oia offers an intimate, atmospheric Greek dining experience with delicious, authentic food. Sense of Forest, the lamb kebab and the pork belly were particularly tasteful, and the service was excellent. Price quality was fine, both the food and the ambiance are definitely worth it. Recommended for a nice evening in Oia.

The food was tasty and we finished everything served us. The Gruyère cheese was breaded with toasted almonds and had a nice crunch. The sliced beef tagliare, done Italian style, was a bit chewy but palatable. The beetroot spread with attractively plated. The fava beans came with tiny crayfish which really didn’t allow us to appreciate the dish fully.
The minus points were the inattentive service which even caused us to get up to seek a service staff member for assistance and the charge for a tiny bottle of olive oil (we had asked for olive oil to moisten the bread) which came up to 7€. Other restaurants gave it to us gratis.

We visit this restaurant from the good reviews, but we were dissapointed because of the rude employees. First while choosing the table, second while ordering. We asked why they don’t serve the traditional greek salad and they answer that thay have other concept so they praised their “roka-arugula” salad and we ordered and soon regret because we did not choose another place. The roka salad was prepared without parmezan and they mixed it with ketchup. lol. They divide the customers and you can see how they threat other for your money.

However, we really believe that you are referring to another restaurant!!
First of all let us make clear that we do have Greek Salad in our menu since we operate this restaurant from 2017.
Still we don’t have a “roka – arugula” salad with Parmesan in our menu at all.
We have Roka Salad with the full detailed description of ingredients and of course we dont use ketsup for any dressing or anywhere else at all. We create our plates with fresh and mostly traditional ingredients.
We are in Sideras area, the yard with the yellow – orange walls.
