It was such a great experience to have dinner in this amazing Italian restaurant in the “heart” of Santorini. The place is very beautiful and neat and really attracts people to enter in and this what we did as we visited it walking down the road. The atmosphere is so relaxing and cozy too! The service provided by Yannis was incredible as we felt very welcomed and comfortable from the minute we entered! We also had the opportunity to meet Nino the owner of the restaurant who is Italian and really cares about his restaurant and also gives extra attention to all his guests! And now we come to the food itself which was more than delicious. All produce are fresh and we had the pappardelle al ragu -duck ragu- as well as a pizza which really I have to tell was better than the authentic italian pizzas. The dough was thin and so delicious but Nino explained us that they do use sourdough which really makes the difference to the flavor. We were really very well surprised by the prices as well as we consider that they are really normal and especially if you compare food and price I would rather say that they might be low too! Please make yourself a favour and go to visit CONVIVIUM restaurant in Santorini and I as m sure this will be the highlight of your trip to the island. Congratulations to all the team that work hard and offer this excellent experience.

We booked this restaurant before we landed from the UK and we were not dissapointed. It had a central location, without the pressure of a caldera view, but this allowed you to concentrate on the amazing food and service. My younger son said best pizza in Fira and best meal overall! Who am i to argue?! I am writing this just after getting back to our room and the whole experience has left us all smiling. The decor and furnishings made you feel special and the prices were reasonable considering how good the food was. Highly recommended, book in advance you will not be dissapointed.

We visited twice in our week in santorini, the only resturant we went back to. On both occasions the food was delightful. The space is quietly decorated in a modern Italian style, that is to say understated but tasteful. There is a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. On the second visit (25/09/21), they were unexpectedly busy, with people queing at the door, but the staff handled this with quiet aplomb, and delays were minimal. Talking to the owner, he explained the secret of good food was his passion for good quality, local produce, and this showed in the way hey described his vision, and in the quality of his food. I would recommend this for lovers of good, well priced Italian based food. (which is always a nice change from the heavy, meat based Greek menu's). I would return, if in Santorini again.

Our 1st night in Fira, Centrally located was this wonderful find. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, with a varied menu and wine list the food was fresh and tasty. We came back for a second time. I would definitely recommend dining here when visiting Fira, Santorini.

After spending a whole week having delicious greek food, we were yearning for a pizza dinner. For starter, we ordered garlic bread. It was, hands down, the worst garlic bread I’ve ever had. The bread was cold, stale and not crunchy at all, with a rubbery texture. Most likely it was toasted in the morning or in the day before. I got a prociutto funghi pizza, which was watery and soggy at the bottom and the tomato sauce was uncooked, most likely due to water leaked from the mushrooms and poor care when baking it. Having eaten in many outstanding pizza places all over the world, including Sorbillo in Naples, I can’t say this pizza was good, or even average. In the end, the person in charge of the service only charged us half of the garlic bread and apologized mentioning that “it wasn’t a good day today”. However, this humble attitude, which is appreciated, does not seem to be in line with the previous responses of the owner which, instead of using customer comments to improve their service, just dimisses negative comments and states that they serve this wonderful food, which clearly they didn’t, at least during my dinner.

First of all we would like to know who we are talking to, as hiding behind the "ljbmgs" is not honest. This also applies to your friend "378s_rgiod". Let's clarify a couple of things right away. First: as we have already replied to "378s_rgiod" - the other EXPERT, your friend - you have not been charged for garlic bread in total and not just for half. It felt more like a way to get dinner for free. So already from this we can understand the honesty of your review. Second: next time eat garlic bread when they arrive at the table, instead of chatting and playing with mobiles in a windy evening like last night. It is logical that afterwards you eat a marble garlic bread. Third: if the bread is stale it cannot be crunchy as you say above. Fourth: we do not use canned mushrooms, but fresh, so the water will be the one that came out of your head, having no gray matter. Fifth (important!): You may have traveled all over the world but if you had really traveled around Italy, you would know that in my country there are dozens and dozens of ways to make a pizza. Not all Italians like the classic Neapolitan pizza, as well as the Roman one rolled out with a rolling pin and thin, or the more rubbery Sicilian one, and so on. In Naples, the pizza of "Sorbillo" is not like that of "Michele" or that of the "Vesi" brothers. A Neapolitan who goes to eat pizza at Sorbillo does not go to Michele, and vice versa. Negative criticism is useful when it is constructive and to "improve one's service" as you say. Constructive, not idiotic like yours. Anyway, you are all great EXPERTS.

Nice spot for some good pasta and even better service. We ordered the prawn linguine and carbonara which was very tasty. We say pizza's being served at another table and these looked delicious too. Prices were also reasonable.

After a few nights in Santorini we fancied a change of cuisine and opted for italian. We were looking for a restaurant when we bumped into a couple who recommended this restaurant. It was a great recommendation and I wish I could have thanked them. Despite having been to Italy several times I would actually say this is probably the best italian I have ever had. Julien the waiter was really good, friendly and likeable and offered suggestions when asked. The standouts were the calamari and the tiramisu which were unreal, especially as I am not normally a fan of Tiramisu. I trusted Julien and to be honest could have eaten another it was that tasty. Other food was brilliant too from pizza to pasta. We enjoyed the food so much so highly recommend to anyone visiting Santorini

The good: the drinks were nice and the pizza was delicious! The Greek salad was just okay. The bad: the wife and I came in for drinks and split a pizza since neither of us were extremely hungry. After we ordered wine, we were told that we weren’t allowed to order just one pizza and share. I pointed out that we were also having drinks but he didn’t care. I never got a straight answer on why both of us had to order food. We ended up ordering some other food however we didn’t eat it because we only wanted to snack on a pizza. We would have come back several times during our trip because the food was good but made a point to stay away from here. Horrible policy that each patron must order their own separate meals. Won’t every come back here

Dear sir, I have to thank you for giving me the opportunity once again to explain that we do not accept groups of people who share a pizza and a bottle of water using the services that the restaurant offers (this applies to all restaurants, without exception, not only the ours), starting from the candle to the table, to the tablecloth, napkins, cutlery, glasses, toilettes, wi-fi, staff, etc. All of this has a cost! It is not possible to think of occupying a table in a restaurant (4-6 people, € 2,00 each one) sharing a pizza because "you have no appetite" or "we just wanted to snack a pizza". For what you and all customers like you require, there are a wonderful pizzeria by the slice take away next to us, the benches and public toilets in the main square. Thank you

Visited here one evening just after sunset. We booked ahead but it looked like there would have been no problem with just walking in as enough free tables. On the positive side the menu was good and more importantly so was the food. It is above average in this regard. On the negative side the service was below average. Our waiter was abrupt and looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at work (perhaps he was just having a bad night but at food prices in Fira you expect good service). One final thing, this is an Italian restaurant but at the end of the meal the waiter asks you if you want to include tip. I don’t have a problem with this as it’s common practice in Santorini but it’s certainly not something that would happen in Italy so from that regard it is not a authentic Italian restaurant

Dear Guest, we thank you for your preference first of all. We also thank you for the nice words regarding the menu and the quality of the food offered. I apologize if the waiter did not live up to your expectations. The hundreds of reviews prior to yours prove otherwise, but it was probably NO in the evening. As for the tips, as you yourself confirm, although an Italian restaurant, we operate in Greece and here it is customary to ask if you want to leave a tip for the service. Do you believe that in England or the United States waiters who work in authentic Italian restaurants do not require a tip or are not considered authentic for it? In the States it is mandatory and varies from 10 to 20% of the total. Try going to dinner and don't leave a tip .... Then we'll talk about it. Anyway thanks for visiting us.

Friends I were strolling through trying to find pizza and came upon this place. The menu looked good so we went in. Let's start with the positive - the restaurant was beautiful and smelled good. No the negative: When I went to ask for a table for three, I got a long pause for the host. The he looked around the half empty place like it hard to find a find a place to seat us. His attitude was very nonchalant. So once we sat down, it took 10 minutes for the waiter to come over and give us a menu and flip our glasses. We never received water. After 10 more minutes of no service, we decided to get up and leave the atmosphere was not inviting and clearly they did not want our business. It's a shame becuase we really wanted to try the food.

I don't even start the answer with "dear guest..." because you don't know what means "gratitude". We remember very well you, the "TRIO". Let's start by saying that the restaurant wasn't half empty at all, but was going to fill up with reservations in place. Then you arrived, all "belli belli" (as we say in Italy...), demanding the best table (without having booked). We found you a good table, and once seated, the waiter came within a minute to bring you the menu. After that, we asked you to get up and leave the restaurant: 3 people don't come to dinner by ordering ONE margherita pizza and ONE bottle of water, total cost € 15 (5 euros per person, not even the souvlaki in the square). So, dear sir, IT IS NOT THAT YOU HAVE GONE, BUT IT IS THAT WE HAVE CHASED YOU AWAY. And you were lucky that the waiter was of a unique education. Someone else would have grabbed you by the ear and carried you out of the restaurant, perhaps with a nice kick in the b..... This is the shame, your shame! Respect for those who work.

I had read some really good reviews about this place but was very disappointed with not only the food but also how myself and my friend were treated by restaurant staff. We were sat on a table of two right in front of the counter, which was okay as there was only two of us and all the other tables were larger, however the staff would stand right over our table - especially when we were deciding on food and it felt like we were being rushed even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. I am gluten intolerant and I’d read they do gluten free pizza which is why we chose to eat there. I asked if they had it today before we had even sat down and was told they do. However after we had already ordered drinks and went to order pizza, I was told that they no longer serve gf pizza anymore, only pasta. I told them that I had literally just been told they have it and that was the whole reason we came. They were not apologetic at all. The food itself was disappointing. The pasta was hard and undercooked, the staff didn’t check back with us (seemed to be the only time they weren’t standing over our table!) and didn’t offer us desserts or anything else after the meal. We felt rushed out and it was only about 7:30 pm. I work as a waitress so I am usually fairly understanding with service, however it is not difficult to make people feel welcome and we both felt like they didn’t even want us in their restaurant from the second we sat down which is not a nice feeling! Definitely wouldn’t recommend and won’t be going back there.

Dear Ms. Lauren, I doubt that you have really been in our restaurant because first of all in our menu there is nowhere written that we offer gluten free pizzas (but only pasta, fish, meat and desserts), then you said you left the restaurant at 19.30 , if so, at 18.30 (presumable arrival time) I would have no reason to make you sit at a table near the cash desk, since the restaurant is generally not very busy (as you say yourself!). Thanks.

My Fiancee & I chose Convivium for our meal on the second night of our holiday in Santorini (24/09/20). The waiter was fantastic, very attentive without being intrusive. The feel & ambience of the place was very pleasant & set the scene for what was a fantastic meal. The quality of the food was very good, along with the wine & alcohol selection. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking particularly for an Italian meal during their stay in Santorini. We have been lucky enough to visit some unbelievable restaurants on our travels & this will sit firmly as a very memorable holiday meal.

We turned up without a reservation at about 4pm. The place was deserted and we initially thought it was closed. Having asked a couple of the staff who were sat having a break they said it was open. Took them some time to make their way to us from their break and we were about to make the decision to leave when they came over with a menu. I had gluten free penne with tomato and basil sauce. I am coeliac and allergic to milk which can make eating out an interesting experience. No ill effects and good quality food with really fresh sauce. Average portions. Note that they had no GF spaghetti or pizza available that day. GF options are €1.50 more than normal options. My husband ordered spaghetti carbonara which looked good but he said was really salty and the house wine (one white, one rose) was horrendous. There was only one by-the-glass choice for each colour wind and we really didn’t want a bottle though the range looked pretty good. For GF options I would recommend this but if I wasn’t GF I probably would not rush back.

Thanks for the review. Your point of view on food is strictly personal, so I don't reply. But ... I would like to understand what kind of wine you are used to with your meal, since in 2000 reviews you are the only ones who have defined our wine as "horrendous" ....

Very good in every way. We have had plenty of Greek food on Santorini some of which has been excellent. So we fancied a change and with Italian being our favourite. We were encouraged by the reviews and we were not disappointed. Lovely place (a little cool / draughty) but smart and clean lines. Staff were fantastic without exception. Bruschetta very good, quite large. Pasta Al a Norma was very good and the classic Calazone (always my benchmark when eating at a new Italian restaurant) which I ordered well done (like them crispy) was 10/10. House red wine is fine so you don’t need to go crazy on prices. The owner said hello and we had a pleasant chat about how the chef is from Sardinia which is another island we love. He also showed us photos of a 67 lb tuna he purchased fresh this week. A very pleased dining experience.

My boyfriend and I have really been struggling with places to eat whilst in Greece. Our location is a bit out of the way so we are travelling to Fira or Oia etc. to find some good restaurants! We came across this place whilst in Fira as it came up online with some fairly mixed reviews but the good reviews made us try it! The service wasn't super speedy BUT we didn't mind that! We understand that dinner is something you don't rush (much like we do in England!!) so we enjoyed the slower paced environment. The reviewers who weren't happy seemed to all mention the slow service but I think some tourists need to realise that different restaurant cultures do things differently!! It may not be how you have it at home, but then why go on holiday if you expect everything to be the same as home? ANYWAY... Food was nice! Pizza base was so yummy and my Carbonara was so thick and rich!! Glad we ordered the bread on the side to soak up all the richness of the pasta! So lovely.. I also got a glass of the Moscato and it was so sweet and nice. Fair prices, modest location tucked away down a side street! Lots of tourists enjoying the food from what it seemed. We would go back :) Thanks
