I've been eating here for years and it keeps getting even better. Now they have a brand new kitchen and I recently visited when the owner was the guest chef and made British pub foods. They've smartly figured out how to safely seat just a...few parties and also do takeout. Even under masks, the hospitality is still wonderful, the rustic log cabin and stone fireplace provide authentic charm. This place is fabulous! And the fish and chips made me think I was back in a pub in Britains Lake District!More

This place is off the beaten path but worth the drive in off Route 28. The place was warm and has that cozy cabin lodge feel, the menu is somewhat limited but there is enough variety to appease anyone, from burgers to steaks and vegetarian...options as well. Our server was pleasant, the service was good. Our food was delicious and well prepared. Nice selection of beers and wine. Overall we had a very nice experience. This is fine dining and the prices reflect that. We would recommend this place and would come back again.More

Wife & I stopped in for lunch on Monday October 7th. Staying in North Creek and looking for a restaurant outside of North Creek. My first choice was the pastrami sandwich but they were out. Figures! I wound up with the cheeseburger which was good....My wife had the Garnet Hill Signature salad which was very good. Melissa, our waitress, was pleasant and attentive. The views from outside are wonderful!More

Located way off the beaten track near Thirteenth Lake, the Log House Restaurant and Pub is part of the Garnet Hill Lodge complex. If staying in the area, it is worth an evening dinner as the food preparation is unique and results in tasteful selections....The menu is somewhat limited but they serve items from burgers to 6-7 varieties of full dinners. The view out of the restaurant dinner overlooks Thirteenth Lake from way above its’ elevation and is probably one of the locations’ highlights. We thought it weird that my wife and I were given a nice table and then a hostess/waitress brought in a family of four to sit directly across from us block the view when there were multiple open tables. The family was friendly so it worked out. Our waiter was young and accommodating. When he opened the wine he forgot to remove the foil so wine flew when the cork was removed almost covering my wife (he missed) almost giving us an extra experience to remember. The wine list was reasonable and they offered a full bar with good selections. If staying in the area I would say it's worth the back road trip to get there. Overall food was prepared well.More

I had three breakfasts and three dinners at The Log House Restaurant while staying at Garnet Hill Lodge and all meals were delicious, fresh and made with care. Breakfast options are varied. I opted to have an omelette with three fillings each morning but there...was also a lovely breakfast bar with a variety of cereals (non-dairy milk was available) and baked goods. As a non-coffee drinker, I appreciated the nice selection of quality teas. As for the dinners, I had Fettuccini Alfredo, Wild Maine Salmon with roasted fingerling potatoes and green beans and the Onion Pie, which was recommended to me by a local and lived up to its reputation. This pie has a beautiful, flaky crust and is made by a woman who has done baking for the Lodge for 50 years. It comes with a side salad of fresh mixed greens. Last but not least, this review would not be complete without giving kudos to the lovely staff at the restaurant. I really enjoyed talking to them and they were so helpful with any questions I had, about the food or other things.More

I knew it was a bad omen when the waiter informed us that due to the high volume weekend there was no salad, steak, mushroom burger, or lamb. You have got to be kidding me. To add insult to injury, my brother and husband ordered...the French onion soup (very good) and were not even half finished when the entree arrived. I ordered the pork chop. It was over cooked and the sides were lukewarm. Overall -overpriced, over rushed, and underwhelmed. Will not be returning.More

Limited menu however the starters, entrees and deserts were prepared superbly! We especially enjoyed the cheese plate appetizer with jam(sold in the lobby gift store)!

I wrote this in an earlier review about the Lodge, but will repeat myself here as this is specific to the Log House Restaurant. Two nights in a row I came to the Log House Restaurant and both times received wonderful service from Lucy. Drinks...were made to perfection and my friends and I enjoyed our food & beverages around the fireplace. It's a charming place to spend a cold afternoon after snow-shoeing or an evening talking with friends over a cocktail.More
