If you want a place to eat in a Rhinebeck that is not fussy, has good food and is reasonable, Foster's is the place to go. During the summer their outdoor patio is lovely to eat at while watching the local flavor.

My previous review was essentially an obituary. Place received the kiss of death with the new decor, menu and wait staff all a huge disappointment. I couldn't be happier to report that it's back from the dead. The old horse stall booths in the front...More

Our waiter was very hospitable, the food was very good. Had the Codfish sandwich, and was seated outdoors on a beautiful Spring day.

We only stopped in for drinks but it was definitely a nice place to stop into. It has a lot of history and we met some locals that told us a bit about the place. Drinks are cheap and atmosphere is cool.

The new owners have brought back the old menu and and have also brought back the old decor. Quite a welcome change.
