This was second visit here and we love the beer selection. There is something for every taste and the bartenders help with samples and selection advice.

This place has a drink menu that is quite diverse and offers descriptions of each of their offerings. Prices aren't bad. Service was on point. Nice little stop with my newfound conference buddies before dinner!

We used to love this place. Great British food, real pub experience. It had been a couple of years since we had been there, but we stopped in Rochester on our way to the airport. The service was friendly, but they gave my husband the wrong beer. The fish and chips had great batter and good chips, but the fish... More

Most authentic English pub in Rochester, even have English bartenders. Great selection of beers from Britain and authentic English food.

The beer cheddar soup was excellent. The Portabella mushroom was the best I've had in a while. Very quaint authentic bar. A little pricey for a beer, but I would go back there and recommend for lunch.

I went in on a Thursday afternoon and I was initially worried as no one was in there. The small bald bloke from behind the bar was stood laughing with other bar staff when he could see that I was waiting. I had a pint of beer and you could tell the lines are rarely cleaned and glass was warm.... More

This is an authentic pub. Was told the staff is brought in annually to work here and saw group staff pictures on the wall going back for years. Beer selection was huge. We did not eat here but everything smelled great that came out of the kitchen. Loved sitting at the bar.

We go to the Old Toad regularly. They have impressive beer and cider selections. The food is British fare but with vegetarian options. The Drunken Cheese soup is very good as well as the Shepherd's pie and others. The service is good but a bit slow at times depending on how busy the pub is. If you go and are... More

We stopped in at The Old Toad as part of a long weekend getaway to Rochester and the Finger Lakes region, looking for something quaint and local. The Old Toad didn't disappoint in that regard, the decor and tables/chairs are authentic British pub style. The service wasn't horrible but it certainly wasn't speedy (we waited over 15 minutes for our... More

This place was the bomb! It was like being back in England in a Pub for dinner. The food was spot on. The atmosphere was right as was the décor. One great thing is the wait staff are students from England so you get the accent too. I loved this place!
