Sometimes, you just need a medium-rare Porterhouse, a salad and a bourbon. If you have a T&E account, all the better. This Roslyn outpost mashes North Shore nouveau-riche and an old-school NY premium steakhouse vibe. In all, better than sitting in traffic into the City for say, The Old Homestead. Great cuts of aged steak, classic appetizers, seafood, salads and... More

Obviously you want to get the steak and I recommend the porterhouse. But if you're a seafood person (as was one of my dinner guest) they spoke very highly of it as well. We also go the seafood appetizer which included shrimp and oysters.

Bryant & Cooper is located within 2 or 3 miles of other well known steak houses, but in my opinion it's many miles ahead of the competition. We went on a weekday night and had an early reservation (6:00PM), and we were seated immediately. We had a quiet corner booth and really at that hour had a wide choice of... More

We dine there frequently, can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. Quiet, excellent service, phenomenal food. I have fish all the time, very fresh and always well prepared. My boyfriend is a steak person, says it is always the best he has, every time. Acoustics are perfect, simply the most wonderful dining experience!

The steak is amazing. Very tasty and not dry at all. Cooked to perfection and it has numerous sides to select from unlike Peter Lugars. The steak I like better than Peter Lugar's. And the service was remarkable! However crab cakes were bland.

Food is delicious, and probably the best steak around. Just examine your car when you get it back. I watched a Valet run the rim of our Acura MDX over a Belgium Block and scrape it. Never again will they park any of my vehicles.

A white linen steak restaurant on the North Shore of Long Island that my wife and I had a midweek lunch. The service was excellent as the wait staff were very attentive, friendly and polite. However, the Boneless Rib Steak my wife ordered was chewy and somewhat tough for a rare-medium preparation. The rare-medium Prime Rib I ordered was moist... More

We love going to B&C because of their excellent steaks. I would not say that anything else is that impressive. The sides are good--none stand out as amazing. My husband and son love a few of the appetizers. The service staff is all men. I find that very old school--not sure if I love that aspect of this eatery. But... More

One of the best ribeye stakes I ever had. Aged prime beef was melting in your mouth. Absolutely love their house stake sauce, very different to others with hints of sweetness and tardiness. The appetizer shrimp salad was delicious as well and set the stage for the main course. The place was absolutely packed on the weekday night so reservation... More

Unacceptable customer service. Had a 8:30 reservation and when i checked in 10 minutes early i was told with a struggle of the shoulders and a cold attitude that i should have checked in before 8:00. They gave my table away. They did not care to accomodate us. We were having drinks atthe bar for an hour and spent $150.00.... More

Description
Bryant & Cooper opened in 1986 with big ambitions: to bring the top tier New York City "steak house experience" to Long Island. Not only would the very finest quality, hand picked prime aged steaks be served, but an ambiance would be created that makes everyone feel like they are part of a special private club. For membership...just make a reservation. Founded by the three Poll brothers with two generations of restaurant ownership experience, Gillis, Dean and George learned at an early age that the secret of a great restaurant was to start with serving the very best. That is why the steaks, chops and jumbo lobsters are selected on a daily basis, and only the freshest side dishes find their way to a plate served at Bryant & Cooper. Over the years Bryant & Cooper has received superlative reviews for its entire menu. The New York Times has proclaimed it the "best steak house on Long Island."
