A huge bowl of tortilla chips and a bowl of fresh salsa are brought to your table right away, and it just gets better from there! Three types of mole sauce, a good choice (and combinations) of the Mexican standards, huge portions. My margharita was delish. You may want to plan ahead by bringing a good takeout container - they only offer styrofoam 'clamshells'. They even bring everyone a free small appetizer and dessert!

We went to this place for lunch, because one of our colleagues was here before. Outside it was not really the place to go, but when we entered the restaurant it was a big surprise. A real authentic restaurant and welcomed by super friendly personnel. The decor is hand painted. At the moment we were at the table and ordered our drinks, we got homemade Salsa with chips and a moment later cheese quesadillas all from the house. How nice is that ? I ordered the Chimichanga with shredded beef, cooked with onions, tomatoes and peppers, rolled in a flour tortilla and fried, garnished with guacamole and sour creme. Perfect ! After that we got a homemade dessert with bananas and whipped cream, also from the house ! And there was a bonus also....the bill. It was very cheap for all what we had. A place to go, what happened by us actually the next day.

This restaurant is my all around favorite for food, service, atmosphere and the little extras that put it over the top. We have dined here over the last 7 years and continue to be thoroughly satisfied with everything. The food is not only delicious, but always served piping hot with excellent service. The colorful decor and music place you somewhere in Mexico while you enjoy a frozen margaretta or Mexican beer. The chips and salsa start you off followed by one of the "little extras" - a small cheese quesadilla. This sets you in the mood for the delicious entree you order. The finale (little extra) is a banana chimichanga treat topped with a dab of whipped cream. Toquilla maybe! No disappointments here.

Ordered an item off the online menu, when verifying the price, it did not coincide with what was on the menu. This happened once before, which is why we verified this time. We also asked for a little salsa on the side and were told there would be an extra charge for it (most of the other local mexican restaurants include chips and salsa with takeout) The food is good, just feel they should honor the prices they advertise.

This place is quite decorated with a Mexican theme (i.e., the tables, chairs, walls, &, hanging from the ceiling, colorful papel picado). I like that it's a free standing building with its own parking lot, as parking can be an issue in Saratoga Springs. While I certainly ate the free tortilla chips & salsa, I prefer a salsa that has a chunkier texture. We were served a complimentary cheese quesadilla & dessert as well! I guess I'm looking at a gift horse in the mouth but the small quesadilla wasn't browned at all. The surprise free dessert served with whipped cream, which was described as a "sweet chimichanga" by a waiter, was tasty! Our server was quite friendly & accommodating, &, although our lunches were served quite quickly, we felt free to sit & chat for as long as we liked.

The food was the best Mexican Food in the Capital Region. The service was fantastic.
The atmosphere was like walking into a Cantina in Mexico City. It was an amazing dining. experience. And all at very reasonable prices. Today I had Fiesta DeCamarones - it was absolutely delicious. I also love how they place tacos and salsa and a small flour tortilla for each person on the table to nibble on at no charge.

My friend and I were very happy with the food. We ordered a full pitcher of Sangria. I waiter kindly substituted a tamale on my combination plate instead of a taco. They give us chips and other snacks gratis. Our food was delicious. We still had a half pitcher of Sangria to drink, and although we told him we were not ready for it, the waiter brought the check anyway, even though my friend told him we wanted Mexican coffees (after we finished the Sangria). He told us we was going off shift and we could settle, and order he coffee later. But the new waiter said we could not order coffee, bc we already settled up! When we left the table, I brought my leftovers to put in my car, and we were going to wait at an outside table for her husband to pick her up, at which time another waiter/ manager runs out of the restaurant, and told us we had to leave. (I guess he watched my put the doggy bag in the car?) If we were taking up precious table space of course we would leave, but there were plenty of tables and parking spots. it was 3 o'clock, well after the much rush. I was going to give this place a good review, but after that treatment, I will not.

Serendipitously, we came upon El Mexicano Restaurant for lunch. While they have a nice covered patio, we chose to eat inside. The decor was festive and the tables were all socially distanced, every staff person I saw wore a We started out with the usual chips and salsa, then a mini quesadillas for each of us followed by chicken taquitos with a trio of sauces; red, green and pepper. Nicely fried, crispy, not greasy on top of a mini salad. We were already starting to feel slightly full….
The menu offers a wide selection of authentic options, without being overwhelming. I ordered the Three Amigos- a burrito, enchiladas suizas and an enchilada mole poblano. The burrito and suizas were very good, the enchilada mole poblano was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Next time,I will order all enchiladas mole!!! My two companions both ordered the same, flautas and tamales with the same sides as mine. They enjoyed their meals.
At this point everyone was pleasantly full, however, we managed to end the meal with sweet chimichangas of banana topped with honey. Everyone enjoyed their meals, great value, and attentive service.
Just like Arnold, “we’ll be back!"

What can I say, this place is nothing short of amazing! My family and I, as well as friends, are now repeat customers. We've never had a bad meal, nor have we ever received bad service. The staff is incredible, the food is amazing, and if you leave hungry it's your own fault! They serve you with free chips and salsa, as well as a cheese quesadilla to start. Your order, whatever you choose, is a very generous amount. I also love ordering a pitcher of margaritas, because they're delicious, and, why not? They end the experience with a free deep-fried banana for dessert and a complimentary shot of tequila! It's a great little place where you'll have great fun if you're with a group. All in all, one of my absolute favorite places!

My husband and I moved back to Upstate NY after living 6 yrs in New Mexico. This restaurant comes closest (very close) to the best restaurants we frequented in NM. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Service is fabulous. Many very good choices for your entree. Chips & salsa, yummy warm flour tortilla with melted cheese appetizers and then the included free dessert too! What more can you ask for?!

We enjoyed take-out during lockdown, although it wasnt the same as eating in and drinking up the vibrant atmosphere. We've been going here since it opened and we've had parties, as well as quiet dinners for two. Always attentive servers, and delicious food served piping hot.

Enjoyable lunch here today with four friends, Reasonable prices, friendly service and a very lovely artistic atmosphere. nice warm chips & salsa immediately after we sat down. Plus complimentary dessert. I was sorry there wasn’t a vegetarian menu, but they accommodated our request to swap out the meat for vegetables in the entrees we ordered. Bring cash, as there is a fee for using a Credit card. they have their own parking lot which is nice too. We will be back.

Not your typical Mexican food restaurant, you can tell that when you see it full for dinner at 4 pm on a Sunday. Everything really a cut above and very good. Decor and ambiance nice. Service very fast. Food was excellent in presentation and taste. A nice surprise was that besides the usual chips and salsa we got a quesadilla appetizer and a free desert. We were offered a complimentary tequila after dinner which was nice but we declined. The menu prices may seem high but the value for your dollar is worth it.

Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday. Not busy at all. Staff was efficient and friendly. We were brought chips and salsa right away and server took our drink order. Marguerita was excellent... ask for Cuervo Gold. We both ordered Chicken Fajitas. They came quickly and were pretty good. Chicken strips were a bit on the thick and chewy side and didn't seem to have been marinated for very long. I guess each chef has his/her own process. In any case, they were totally acceptable. Portion very large... we took home leftovers. At the end of our meal, server offered free tequila shots which we, of course, accepted. We were each brought a dessert churro as well. Nice touch. We will probably go back to try other entrees.
