Another visit to the beautiful town/city of Saratoga Springs New York. On our 5 hour drive from Ontario Canada my little blue eyes made reservations and Boca Bistro. And what a great plan that was.
We arrived early for 7 pm dinner and our man of the night Erin was THE MOST perfect server. He is an individual who is attentive, observant, courteous and pleasantly humurous. Truly made the night for us in this fantastic dinning establishment.
Our dinner, prepared by our chef Ian was made perfectly from the made to preference apps to the main courses which did not disappoint. Again, perfect portion size, boasting with a balance of flavour and taste and topped off with amazing presentation and value.
After dinner Audra and her team finished our dining experience with a final glass of wine and drink at the bar.
Ladies and gentlemen, our dining experience was so good we joined the “preferred guest” membership at Dz Restaurants and received 10% off our wine and discounts at our next dining experience at DZ restaurants. But that doesn’t matter. The Dz restaurants are so worth the experience in Saratoga Springs when you expect value, amazing service and equally great environment.
So looking forward to our reservations at Chianti tomorrow.... stay tuned for the review.

Best meal we have had in a while. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Broadway St. The ambiance is cozy, we didn't feel cramped or crowded and our waiter was very attentive. He gave us great recommendations for how much to order for two and we got 4 Tapas and each one was better then the next. They were all delicious. The Sangria was great and we finished with warm and fresh Churros. I would recommend!

Good food, beautiful decor. Tapas are good but a little pricey, 5 dishes were plenty for 3 of us to share and be full. Others enjoyed full entrees. The best part was the white sangria. Great server, beautiful decor.

We used to absolutely love going to Boca's Sunday night happy hour, as it was the very best value in town, with great drinks, great tapas and excellent service. We went back last night and sadly, all that has changed, and no more HH specials on Sunday nights. We decided to order the Paella with seafood, which back in the day, was an incredible value and filled with seafood, chicken and chorizo. Unfortunately, as with all things good, someone sees fit to change them. The paella is much smaller ( and more expensive) than it was a few years ago, and was mostly chewy calamari rings. There were only tiny bits of chorizo, and the two shrimp and two scallops looked and tasted, like they were added as an afterthought, and the clams and mussels were tiny and barely open. On a positive note, the bartender, Rob, was excellent and even offered to take our food back for something else, but we soldiered on. We don't plan on giving up on Boca, but will skip the Paella from now on, and hope they get back to a normal soon.

I am so sorry to read your review and to hear about the quality of your food especially the paella. I can assure you this is not the norm for Boca bistro. We are known for providing an exceptional dining experience and our food consistency and quality are usually exceptional. This is not to say we do not make mistakes. Our guest feedback is very important and allows me an insight to make any corrections necessary. Our guest feedback is very important and no guest should ever leave any of our restaurants unhappy and certainly should not pay for something they did not enjoy. We very much enjoyed our tapas dinner on a Saturday night! We ordered garlic shrimp, mussels, friend calamari, goat cheese salad (so highly recommend!), pork belly, and stuffed peppers (also highly recommend!). We enjoyed dinning outside on the street of Saratoga Springs. Our server Shane was outstanding - so friendly, honest, and enjoyable. We will definitely dine here again on our next visit.

The Boca Bistro has all kinds of issues around food and service. It took almost 30 minutes to even get a piece of bread on Monday night. The food was okay but was not quite Spanish. The tomato bread was light on olive oil and heavy on spices. The fisherman's soup was very bland and was probably the most disappointing of any I have tried. Our young server was sweet, but she needs to learn not to say "no problem" to end every exchange. Avoid - you can do better.

A lovely venue unfortunately staffed by pretentious and unwelcoming local fauna entirely unsuited to the hospitality business. There is more to Spanish food than multiple uninspired rehashes of paella belatedly served with copious amounts of attitude. The range of positive reviews for Boca Bistro is bewildering given our deplorable experience. I am not one to post negative reviews but was inspired here to warn others to stay away from less-than-mediocre, overpriced fare served by inexplicably rude staff.

As I said in my original response to your 1st review I would like to understand more about your visit as this is not typical for Boca Bistro or any of the DZ Restaurants. A majority of our team members have been working for us for many years and always go above and beyond for our guests. No flavor, no flavor.
Hummus made in house, chef needs a new recipe add some lemon or try a Mediterranean recipe something with some flavor. We had the hummus and vegy sandwich really missing something like flavor. We also had the quinoa kale salad with hummus feta and cucumber absolutely no flavor at all. Make a simple lemon, evoo salt and pepper dressing. We added avocado $5.00 and twice the avocado was rotten. Waiter was very nice and I didn’t mention anything about the hummus or dressing on salad, it’s not his fault. I hope my review is read and the chef makes some changes.

We went here based on a recommendation from a local and it was fantastic. We had trouble deciding, but went with the highly recommended Mixta Paella which was delicious and could easily feed 3 - 4 people. It has large amounts of seafood! The bottle of wine were also very reasonably priced. They have a few outdoor tables, but the outdoor space is very limited.
I definitely recommend dinner here and making reservations. They also do a bring which looks very good as well.

Boca Bistro is a tapas bar. It's boistrous and it's fun, and the staff is welcoming, engaging, and knowledgeable. Tapas are "small bites." and that's what we expected. It was a special occasion so we wanted to sample a lot of tastes. Beware. These small bites are sizeable. A person could make a meal on the fried artichokes or the octopus, or the calamari. Don't get me wrong. That's a GOOD thing, and the food is delicious, but my wife and I felt guilty leaving so much wonderful food uneaten. So go with a crowd and enjoy. It's great food and a great experience.

We had five tapas dishes and one vegetable. Of the five five tapas dishes three were not well prepared. The garlic shrimp were overcooked (dry), the steak was burnt and bitter on the outside and finally about one-half of the mussels were served were not properly opened. The calamari and asparagus were very good

The wait staff was beyond rude, and the manager (or bartender) was the most obnoxious restaurant "service" personnel we have ever encountered. He is also a racist, and that is probably in accord with management policy. Avoid this place like the plague.

Exceptional, creative recipes.
Goat cheese salad is one of the best salads I've ever had. Bibb lettuce, dried figs, brûléed goat cheese, pine nuts, and yummy roasted shallots. Lots of "junk" on the salad.
Loved the sweet potato cakes. They were so lightly fried that I wouldn't have known if you didn't tell me. Soft and sweet on the inside. The quinoa must be white quinoa and I didn't detect a lot of it; the cakes mostly tasted like sweet potato. The sauce mostly tasted like black bean humus.
I ate a bunch of the chickpea kale yogurt side dish but it's mostly chickpeas so it's really best shared with a group of people. My husband didn't finish the small portion I gave him, so I guess he didn't like it that much. I thought it was tasty.
Ricotta dessert with berry compote is much different than described. Server called it a deconstructed cheesecake but I liked it better than cheesecake. The berry compote tasted homemade and was not too sweet; cheese tasted much healthier and less rich than cheesecake. I like eating healthy. You might be disappointed if you expect rich cheesecake.
Husband got a headache from noisy group at the next table. And I thought we were at one of the best tables. The room we were in seemed very noisy. Restaurant very popular because the food is so good.

We stopped in for brunch/lunch during our stay. After a brief wait, we were seated and had great service. We've been to Spain and quite honestly, this was better than most of the heavily salted meals we had there. I had a glass of bubbly along with a goat cheese salad with pine nuts and figs. It was perfect! My husband really enjoyed the specialty margarita along with the ham croquettes, the stuffed dates, and the deviled eggs. I would definitely return to this restaurant!

OK, how about chocolate charcuterie tapas?, A great way to end a fun meal. They were very accommodating with our family including toddler twins. Meat and chees tapas, seconds on sangria, bistro steak tapas was especially good. Asparagus, eggs, potatoes, olives and more. All fun, all great. First time in a while we've been served bread and it was great.
