We stopped here on the way home from NYC. It's 5 or so miles from exit 20 off 87 South in Saugerties, NY. One of their signature apps, the blackened string beans, are spicy, and delicious! The Jerk Chicken was fabulous, and you can get...More

We had heard great things about this place and looked forward to eating here. Gosh, we were so disappointed. The service was subpar. Our server seemed more interested in being anywhere else than in the restaurant. She answered our questions, but didn't seem committed to...More

I am sorry about the necessity to write this additional review. For years we have enjoyed going to New World but the quality just isn't there anymore. The Thanksgiving buffet has been lousy for the past few years too. When we went the food was...More

This place is recommended but we had an awful experience with our undercooked steak and fish. Had to return them both and when we got them, still not cooked. Bleeding red when it was to be medium well and fish was not cooked more. Luke...More

We ate dinner at New World Home Cooking in late September. The parking lot, while huge, was crowded and we had to circle around before settling for an unconventional parking spot. The building from the outside appears to be an old, long, barn-style building. When...More

The food was outstanding. Warm bread came with a delicious white bean dip. The baba ganoush we shared for an appetiser was maybe the best I have ever eaten. The meatloaf was as tasty as could be, the thai curry was flavoursome and delivered the...More

I have coming here for years and am sad to report that every time I have been here in the last 3 years something was wrong. The service is so completely amateur for an established restaurant, Ric should be embarrassed. Do they even train the...More

Just about everyone would love this place. It's a little funky, casual and old world looking but absolutely new world cooking. The menu is diverse and everything ordered was wonderful. The service was excellent! We noticed a group dressed up and a tent outside. The...More

Goodmorning: I often come to your restaurant to eat, and I would like to know what the name of the dessert I get and where I can buy it, instead of making it. It was caramel, with pretzel, with chocolate ganache. This is the best dessert I have ever had. Thank you so much. Patricia Fleischer
