I really want to like this place. Have been here three times in the last few years and while the service is excellent the food just isn't that great. My fried catfish the most recent time was probably the best meal of the times I've been but was nothing special. Fish was a huge piece but a bit dry. Hubby... More

Brought my sister here for dinner one night because I had a coupon, had never been here before. Probably won't return, there are many better options in the area. My sister had the rice and beans, it was ok, the Andouille sausage was great but the rice was a bit overcooked. I had the fried chicken and I loved how... More

Very friendly, great atmosphere and the Cajun chicken wings are awesome! The chef comes to greet you at your table in between meals. Great location and easy street parking despite its popular location on Union street.

It actually pains me to write a negative review. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. I had a salad with blackened chicken that I managed to force down half of only because I was starving. It had a sour flavor and was tough. My husband ordered a Cesar salad. His wilted greens (not romaine) weren't fresh but they were... More

Great food, wife and I both had the stuffed haddock and rice which we both enjoyed. Sat outside and watched a local rabbit searching for something to eat. The waitress actually brought us a dish of cut up carrots to feed the rabbit. Unfortunately, by then the rabbit had moved on. Mud pie for dessert was excellent. Prices for food... More

Friendly service and a patio to enjoy in favorable weather. They are trying hard to offer a New Orleans dining experience. Having been to NOLA, this isn't it! The shrimp Po Boy was 'dressed' with a strange brown dressing, the hush puppies were over fried, and the beignets had cinnamon mixed in with the powdered sugar. Friendly service elevated my... More

I have been to NOLA. This place was like going back in time to New Orleans. I loved the ambiance, delicious food (good portion) and our friendly waitress (Robin??). She was terrific, friendly, very attentive and knowledgeable. She realized that we were visitors and right away suggested places that we could find of interest: museums, greenmarket. Since we have been... More

Service was very good, liked the waitress. If you can't make better nachos than this you should pack it in. We had the Cajun crawfish nachos. The crawfish had no flavor and the nachos were very dry. We also had a $30 seafood pasta trio which was very skimpy. The highlight of the dish was the shrimp which were numerous.... More

My friends and I enjoyed the food here, hope to go again soon. It is another of Schenectady's really good food places.

We are from Louisiana . Each time we move we hope and hope to find an authentic LA restaurant. Sadly this isn't it for us here. It has great ambiance and the food is ok, but not authentic. I wish people would not call sandwiches on baguette bread poboys. It's misleading. The sandwiches were good, but were not poboys. I... More
