Had a reservation, asked if we could go to bar for drink, after a while told them we were ready to eat, totally ignored us. Not a busy night, finally sat us, took 20 minutes for waitress to come over. A waiter came over and placed rolls on table. Still no waitress. Saving grace, When food came it was really... More

Nothing spectacular, but the food is good Italian. Service is friendly and efficient. Specials are generally good.

Have been going to Cornells for many years...under several different owners. But there's something about Cornells...the service...the accommodating attitude...and most of all, the food that has simply stood the test of time. First, it was a very busy night, yet the maitre'd went out of her way to find great seating during the reservation process...and when we arrived...for our party... More

Recently tried out this solid Italian restaurant because of its proximity to Proctor's Theater in Schenectady and because it is has been a favorite of the friends we were going to see 'Beautiful' with. It was definitely not disappointing. The atmosphere is good and there is plenty of parking. I think anyone who enjoys Italian food will like eating here.... More

Encouraged by the trip advisor overall high ranking for Schenectady local Italian dining, we made reservations for three on Open Table. When we arrived, our reservation was apparently "nowhere to be found" -- which has never happened to me with Open Table (very reliable). We were seated in a less than desirable location but not wanting to make a fuss,... More

I will confirm that the restaurant is under the same management that it has been for the last five years. We saved the restaurant from bankruptcy because it was our favorite restaurant and continues to be. Cornells won 11 Bestie awards from Capital Region Living Magazine including Best Restaurant in Schenectady and Best Waitstaff. Our ratings on OpenTable and FaceBook... More

After at least 3 prior visits to Cornell's that were fantastic, so sad to see that something has happened to cause this restaurant to lose its touch. Our Open Table reservation was "lost" but we didn't have to wait to get seated. However our table was in a section for banquets with large round tables and mass-seating type chairs. The... More

I brought my bride to be daughter for dinner as a mom/daughter night before catching a play at Proctor's. It was such an enjoyable experience! The owner was so kind and a pleasure to speak with. She gave us personal attention and made sure we were happy. The food was delicious, service fantastic, and ambiance perfect. We ordered their calamari... More

We've been looking forward to trying Cornell's for a while. We waited too long to make dinner plans on St. Patrick's Day and Cornell's was able to seat us on short notice. I knew the prices were a bit steeper than More Perecca's and Canali's, our other favorite Italian restaurants but we weren't prepared for this. First, I will say... More

We had been reading and hearing about the great reviews since Michael Pietracola became the head chef so a group of us decided to try it during restaurant week. The food was not good. Of the 6 of us No one enjoyed their meal. Some ordered off the restaurant week special and some off the regular menu. In addition to... More
