This was our first time at John Riccitello's. The family provides an authentic Italian dining experience! My husband who is a picky eater...never eats his side dish of pasta when we go out (he lets me take it home for the next day)...devoured his as it was al dente perfect. And their gravy (sauce) is exceptional. My husband ordered a... More

An Italian restaurant on a side street in Schenectady. All entrees were delicious. I'm a sauce snob and theirs was great. Many veal dishes and side choice of eggplant (like eggplant parm without the sauce and cheese). We will definitely go again.

The Riccitello Family are class all the way. Classic Italian the way Grandma made it and always imaginative specials. Have been going there since I was a teenager. My whole family --- three generations-- count this as our favorite

What a nice surprise finding this gem. After visiting the new casino we were looking for a place we never dined before. What a great find. The seafood combination over homemade fettuccini (slight up charge) was absolutely delicious. I usually don't like muscles but these were outstanding as well as the shrimp, clams and scallops. Worth a return trip.

This is the quintessential Italian American restaurant. Its been there a long time (still has a built in phone booth with an actual pay phone.) It has a great full bar and more than competent bartender. Thier red sauce and pasta is light. Between us we had sauteed calamari, chicken livers Caruso, pork roast, and frog legs. Each was very... We visit here everytime family comes into time for the best Italian cuisine around. 5/10 the Chicken Parmesan because it's the best! My daughter had the Pasta Primavera and I always enjoy the Roasted Chicken. (It's always best to preorder the Roasted Chicken because it takes 45 minutes but is so with it.) I give the place four stars because... More

One of the best Italian restaurant that you will any where. Old era feeling from yesteryear. Easy and handicap accessible with plenty parking areas. It is like something you see in the movies. Food is just simply delicious on what ever you order I have had my share of dishes so believe me I know. You also will be pleasantly... More

I have eaten here several times, against my will. The atmosphere is cozy and the service can be slow. The veal is great, but the Italian sauce that they pour on the parmigiana dishes and the paste, is not good. Its too heavy and too Southern Italian. I guess if never been to Italy and used to that of sugo,... More

I went here with friends, one of which lived nearby in Albany. The restaurant was so different to anything I had experienced before, it was behind the owners house in a very quiet residential area! The atmosphere was a little strange, almost everyone there was elderly and local and said hello to every person who came in, this might not... More
