Most Italian restaurants serve the same food, let's face it. Some do a veal parm better than others; some do fish better than meat, etc. But Rosalies has never disappointed whenever we've visited the Finger Lakes - in fact, we make it a point to dine there no matter what. To describe the food would be tedious, so let me... More
Four of us had a pleasant celebration of a birthday and two retirements at Rosalie's. We thoroughly enjoyed the polenta and insalata misto for openers. We had the Braciole (tasty, but not as tender as expected), Rigatoni (hearty, massive serving) and Cappa Santa al Prosciutto e Basilico (lovely scallops, sizable serving) as mains. A nice bottle of Chianti Classico was a... More
This restaurant is wonderful. The food, drinks, waite staff, and atmosphere is worth eating here. They can handle large & small groups. The Italian Food is scrumpous. Just bring your wallet, it is a bit on the expensive side. A treat.
We had a outstanding meal at Rosalie's. We happen to be there on a night where the weather was awful so there were only 4 other tables with customers. This allowed us to sit right near the fireplace that added to our overall dining experience. Our wait staff were very considerate and professional. And, both our meals were outstandingly prepared... Be careful, the portions are huge! And delicious! I wanted to try everything and nine of the dishes I tasted disappointed. They also have a delicious bread that they serve before the meal. Also, they give the bread that remains at the end of the day, so they are always fresh when you go in. The desserts are an amazing... More
Four of us recently dined and it was kinda hit or miss. Happy hour is great (at the bar) and as a previous reviewer noted, the beef carpaccio is excellent. In the dining room, our waitress brought the wrong drinks which took a bit to clarify. When our dinners arrived she had one of those wrong as well. Three ate... More
We come to Skaneateles 2-3 times a year and always have a reservation booked here in advance. The service is always top notch, the food is consistently amazing! If you've never had carpaccio before, this is the place to try it, you won't be disappointed. They serve you bread prior to your meal, not only is it delicious (served with... More
We go here 2x per month and are never diappointed with the food, service, atmosphere, etc. The chococlate cake is a must have for dessert. For this area this is how it's done!!
Ok, so full disclosure, I loved this place so much we had our wedding rehearsal dinner here.... Why? The food is amazing, the atmosphere romantic and elegant, and it's always PERFECT. Yes, prices are a little higher but in my eyes, worth every penny. Quick story: so there is a fella there who plays the guitar, which just adds to... More
