Stumbled across this place waiting for a return ferry and ended up staying 3 hours. Good value beer and played rock tracks. Just a no frills local bar. Never tried the food but it looked nice.

Very friendly staff! No hot tea but it's a PUB right? 😉 The food is ok and the music it's classical! Worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood

Ypu.must visit here when you go to the island!! So many people told us that there was nothing to see and get back on the next ferry!! They were so wrong. We walked straight off the ferry and directly straight for about a quarter of a mile towards the shops (a comic shop I think). Turn left at the comic... More

I grew up within a few blocks of Steiny's and moved away in 1971. I've returned to the old ground only occasionally in the 45+ years since, but some friends and I rode the Staten Island Ferry over for fun one recent weekend and when one of them mentioned he could go for a cold pint, I happened -- providentially... After we spent the morning and early afternoon at Snug Harbor, we were heading over to ride the Staten Island Ferry and decided to grab lunch. We stopped at Steiny's Pub; to be fair and honest it wasn't our first choice as that we intended to go to an Italian Restaurant on the they block, but after going there it... More

Yes, you can get off the ferry and walk up to Steiny's grab a drink, relax and get back to get the next ferry. The walk is a little uphill, but the bar is very nice and inviting. The staff is friendly and they serve food.

We stumbled across this pub after getting the Staten Island ferry. Had a great old world pub feel. We sat at the bar and ordered cocktails and lunch. The barmaid was lovely and very chatty. We thoroughly enjoyed the few hours we spent there. Well worth a visit if going to Staten Island and only a short walk from the... More

This is an excellent Irish Pub offering an array of bar food items to accompany your favorite beverage. The house made corned beef Ruben was stacked with the good stuff, and the quality of beef in the 8 oz. chile burger, cooked perfectly to order, was one of the best I have ever tasted. Add the friendly and welcoming attitude... More

Not the best looking venue from the outside but a great little find just a short walk from the ferry. The food was fresh and home made, the service was very attentive and relaxed and the beer was good too. Good value which was a nice change from Manhattan prices.

Thank BrianMahon
