Found this place on TripAdvisor and it was Fantastic. Cornmeal crusted haddock served with roasted potatoes and a smoked tomato sauce. Chefs suggestion: a roasted chicken breast served over pita, kale, onion, sumac gravy and topped with a peanut cilantro . Absolutely amazing.

Hazelnut Kitchen has a great reputation--from this first visit it's well deserved. Maybe next time I'll have the courage to choose the "chef's surprise," but my haddock with roasted potatoes, slaw, and tomato beurre blanc was perfect. Loved the quiet and easy-going atmosphere and decor as well.

Had a fantastic dinner last night - delicious from our charcouterie appetizer, through entrees and wine, to coffee and one dessert for the table! The "chef's choice" was a grilled duck breast that was so tender and flavorful! The handmade pasta dish had a terrific mushroom-y sauce, and the haddock was a tasty (lighter) spin on fish and chips! Amazing flavors. 'Chef surprise ' was lamb sausage filled with Mediterranean spices topped with home made slightly spicy paste & farro. Halibut was flaky , well crusted atop a creamy sauce. Dessert was butter cake w salted caramel- not too sweet, salty yet almost burnt caramel balanced each other. I forgot bread & butter all home made. Lentil thai inspired... More

We finally took the opportunity to dine here for Valentine's Day this year. It was a wonderful experience. The venue is warm and intimate, the servers are attentive but not intrusive and the food is locally sourced and very creative. I had to take the majority of my dessert home for later! We can't wait to return.

Our experience was divine. Service was perfection and loved the layout. Had the red pepper leek soup and grilled corn & tomato panzanella for apps and fried haddock and pork loin for entrée. - Must try the Onion Rings!! Also had a bottle of Broc Cellars and red tail ridge wines. Wonderful evening!

This is our fifth time visiting Trumansburg and probably our 10th time eating at the Hazelnut Kitchen! This is a must for me while visiting my favorite bed-and-breakfast, Juniper Hill. Lisa greeted us at the door for our New Year's celebration with friends. We enjoyed a priced fixed gourmet meal and decided to return the following day and sit at... More

We had a great time here - we brought our preschool aged child and she was treated very kindly by our server. The calm atmosphere provided a perfect first "fancy restaurant" to take her to, and she was very well behaved. I loved the vintage repurposed china and flatware -- it made everything seem homier. No complaints about the food... More

Do yourself a favor and eat here. A Farm-To-Table restaurant, I chose the "Let the Chef Decide" entree and was not disappointed. One of the best meals I've ever had, anywhere.
