Very friendly people . Food was excellent .
Shrimp scampi excellent , Turkey dinner was as good as Thanksgiving ! Been coming to tupper lake for years, only started visiting here last 3 years . Never
My husband, son and I wanted to get out of the house after our many holiday gatherings. We decided to head to the Pine Grove with a couple of our friends. The relaxed, pleasant atmosphere there is comfortable, especially when it’s ten below zero! The...hostess, Donna, is always so nice and welcoming. If you want a reasonably priced meal along with a variety of menu selections, Pine Grove is a great pick. We all had a delicious dinner with great service. The drinks are reasonably priced as well. They also have beer on tap from neighboring brewery, Racquette River Brewing👍More
Each food item was very good and the bread was especially tasty. Our server offered more when she saw how we enjoyed it. The desserts were also noteworthy. This is a pleasant place with nice furnishings and good prices.

I am so pleased you enjoyed your dinner. We really do take great pride and time in our in house baking. Thank you for noticing.
One of those places we've passed a million times but never stopped. It is a very pleasant restaurant, clean and tidy. The waitresses were very attentive and happy to be there. We ordered soups for appetizer: onion soup and steak soup. The onion soup you...had a choice of cheese on top which I opted to get. It was very tasty although I would have liked a little more spice. The steak soup, including vegetables , was described as a beef stew but more like a soup. We both enjoyed them very much. The table got a small boule of homemade bread and it was to die for - warm, fresh and delicious! I ordered the Dutch Apple Pork Chops with a baked potato. You get three thin pork chops smothered in apples and cheddar cheese. They were good but a little sweet for me and the pork chops were well done so they were a little dry being they were so thin. My husband ordered the stuffed shells and he said they were delicious. The salads were basic but fresh veggies were terrific! My baked potato was also good - nice and hot to melt the butter and sour cream. The cost is fair and the wait time was usual. I would definitely go again and try out a different dish.More
We stay in Long Lake for a week every summer. Typically we go to a local restaurant on Wednesday nights for their barbecue. It had closed due to loss of power that day. Made reservations for another local restaurant but when we arrived at that...one they could not accommodate us due to same power outage, even though they had some power due to a generator. We scrambled for ideas and found Pine Grove via smartphone search.
Worth the 30 minute drive. Extremely friendly folks accommodated our group of 9 even though we showed up within 45 minutes of closing time. They stayed open for us as we were there until 9:30 - 9:45.
Service was great, food was great, and we also recommend saving room for dessert as all desserts are also home made.More
We had an amazing meal here! Everything is homemade! We had the BBQ roasted chicken and it was great! We then ordered a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie to share! it was fantastic! The service was spectacular! highly recommend!

We've passed this restaurant hundreds of times over the past 3 years and it often looked shut down. After seeing a crowd there last week, we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised. It has a plain but clean, rustic decor and we...were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The menu is standard fare except that they had a number of interesting specials.
I had the smoked ribs which were meaty and well prepared. The cole slaw was some of the best I've ever had. Apparently they do their own smoking at the Pine Grove. My wife chose the Chilean sea bass special which was a large filet, properly cooked and nicely seasoned, though it would have been even better with fresh cilantro rather than dried (though to be fair, fresh cilantro is rather hard to come by here in the "north country"). The maple walnut pie was was a nice finish.
They have a full bar and have a variety of beers on tap from our local Raquette River Brewing Company.
My 4-star rating is not a downgrade. I reserve 5 stars for exceptional dining experiences, and the Pine Grove is not meant to be such. For us, however, it was a nice, local, friendly place to have solid, well prepared food. We expect to be back often.More

Thank you very much. Yes I realize we look closed on occasions. At one time we opened for lunch and dinner but as we have gotten older, we started in 1979, we open5 days a week for dinner only. Please know we would be please...More
Doesn't look like much from the outside but what a warm and friendly atmosphere with great food and great local beer. We had the BBQ special which was excellent. Great sides too (eg. herbed new potatoes). Almost didn't find it as on the Faust side...of town but so glad we did. Nice finish to a great stay in the Tupper Lake area. Just three of us but a large multi-generational family seated nearby enjoying a great meal as well.More
