This is a hidden gem, a perfect detour from Angry Orchard- authentic, delicious, carefully prepared food that is as good as it gets: their mole sauce is unbeatable. The restaurant is spotless and the host (owner?) is personable and accomodating. You wouldn't take a second...look from the front, but behind the storefront is a perfect dinner. I have not found a better Mexican restaurant in all of Orange County- highly recommended!More

Don't be thrown off by the looks of the outside... it's one of our favorite places! Drinks are very strong (but worth it). Food is authentic and they're so friendly there. Definitely would recommend it. Their salsa is fresh, their chips are always fresh, and...their food is always on point!More

I thought I had reviewed Zona Rosa before and, sure enough, it seems I was the last reviewer a few years ago. I also noticed the reviews right before mine were less than complementary. I eat here relatively often and have never had a bad...meal. The service is wonderful. Yes, it's just a small no frills place but, it's a good one. I don't know what else I can say, other than give Zona Rosa a try yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed.More

If you're craving Mexican food, take a ride into Middletown and avoid this restaurant. Enchiladas were bland, nachos were soggy, refried beans tasteless. Tried this place several times in case the chef was having an 'off night' but it's consistently disappointing.

We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night, crammed into a small table in the bar area right next to a wall, could not move much. The menu is extensive, so much to choose from. But, when the plates came they all looked...the same. Seems like the places are made up, stored and then popped into the over to heat up. Plates were extremely hot!! Lacking flavor. Don't order drinks, we got a 1/2 pitcher of margaritas and it was $50..wow, barely got 4 drinks out of it. But, staff was overly friendly, constantly checking if everything was ok. I think they had no choice to because of where we were seated, they passed us going in and out!! Nice décor. No deserts at all?? Pricey if you want bland food.More

I was a little disappointed this trip. The food was good but the service was lacking. Had to get the check ourselves and no one came around to see if we needed anything. The prices also seam to be higher than the last time I...went there. I think it's time to look for a different go to Mexican place.More

I have to say consistancy is the key. I have never had a bad or soso meal. If your looking for good quality , and tasting mexican food..u must go. It is family owned and run. very small and quiet staffed by owner or perhaps...the young son , i go for the food not the ambience. the margaritias are like no others!!! no deserts, but You wont need them the meal is generous. every thing homemade!!!More

My GPS took us to this little gem, authentic Mexican food at it's best. Ambiance was amazing, owner and kids took great care of us, thank you very much

Food is excellent! Staff is wonderful!!! The quesadillas are delicious and I love the pork chops! The restaurant itself is very small, and like any Mexican place, dark. This place may be darker than many, you might need a flashlight! But it's worth the visit,...it's a great place!More
