We were recomended to go to this restaurant by a friend born in the Seychelles. On arrival, we were shown a table by Maria's sister, who we found to be rather unfriendly. She seemed to "warm up" slightly during our late lunch. The concept of serving food and cooking it yourself was very enjoyable. I ordered a seafood platter and... More

A very cozy outdoor restaurant where you cook your own meat, fish or seafood by choice on a hot stone at your table. They have a cool pirate ship for the kids to play in and the atmosphere is relaxed.

We decided to come to Maria's for lunch after a 1/2 day lounging on the beach and before heading off for further island exploration. What was going to be a quick snack turned into a long, lazy, boozy lunch. It was the best surprise. It is true...Valeria is no nonsense, hard to make laugh and it comes off rude but... More

Went her for lunch after the beach. Its a small place with a limited menu, but the food on it is spectacular. They have a variety of crepes, both sweet and savory. I tried the prawns and cheese and it was delicious. I also tried the caramalized banana and the papaya jam crepe. Both came with coconut ice cream and... More

Amazing place, we had the chance to taste the local cuisine and it was so tasteful. I advise to take the "fish filet only" menu since the shrimp cannot fully take the flavor of the souse you use to prepare it yourself.

We went here twice, it is excellent to eat here just when you arrive in Seychelles, it's a great and small house, the menu is not that big which is excellent when you're hungry. The prices are truly fair and the fresh fish is delicious, I loved the fact we had to cook it ourselves ;). You have a parking... More

Service was really grumpy. The fish on the hot rock was fresh; the crepe, however, tasted like cardboard.

Definitely the best food we have had in Mahe. If you're staying at Kempinski it is a short walk to Maria's Rock Cafe where you get a platter of cook your own prawns, fish, chicken and beef-ideal for 2 people. For around SCR 200. There are smoothies, cappuccinos and all other drinks. My family really enjoyed cooking their own food... More
