First of all, this restaurant is not directly on the water. There's a whole bunch of junk and boats right in front of it. But the food is decent and very affordable. The service is speedy and friendly.

Nice restaurant at the beach front. Very central and the food was ok. Had some local dish with octupus. The seafood is fresh and nice. Outdoor dining is the best. No seaview which could have made it a whole lot better. All in all the...More
Famished from prison island tour and this was the closest restaurant. I was a little sceptical because it looked really busy but our waitress was very nice and friendly and our food was quick. The food itself isn't much to talk about. It's average. Was...More
We often went to Archipelago just for coffee (me for tea), but we sometimes had our meals (lunch and dinner) there as well. The food is wonderful and authentic to Zanzibar. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is indoor and outdoor dining available. But...More
So glad you enjoyed Archipelago. Sometimes it is hard to get a table with an ocean view, but the food is just as good no matter where you sit : ) All the best, Masoud.
Menu offers a good selection but there are also daily changing dishes added on the black board. Service is fast and attentive. Meals are fresh and delicious, portions generous. No alcohol served. Simple, authentic setting.
Thanks for your review. We strive towards a 20 minute service time whilst maintaining the standard of good, simple, clean food. So glad you enjoyed your meals with us. Masoud
Had dinner here one evening and enjoyed it. It wasn't the best meal I ate in Zanzibar but they have fresh vegetables and seafood and some nice dessert options, including a brownie that they assured me was egg and dairy free (a rare find!)
The food here was awesome with a cool breeze from the ocean in front and good looking waitresses for the weary solo traveller to flirt with! Try the coconut prawn curry. My best meal in Zanzibar.
So happy you enjoyed your meal. We specialise in seafood and I am so glad to hear you will remember that delicious prawn curry. Happy Travels, Masoud.
