Charming family owned and operated establishment. The family's son (normally the chef) seated us and waited our table. He took the time to answer our questions and give his perspective about life in Aruba. Made us feel like friends - not just another customer... The food was authentic Aruban cooking and delicious. The fish soup and coconut shrimp were especially... More

Started with Aliica's fish soup, great. Group of 4 got 2 Aruban combos and 2 Royal Aruban combos. Goat stew, Kerry Kerry (chopped spiced fish), Keshi Yana (shredded chicken baked inside Gouda cheese), fish with bell pepper sauce. Wives loved desserts. Quaint setting, best meal we had in Aruba! Only open 6-9pm Mon-Sat, reservation recommended.

You feel like you are eating in someone's home at this little gem. The restaurant is owned by "Ray" and his son who is the chef. They limit the service to 14 meals in an evening so it is a great place to converse with other patrons. Ray tells riddles and jokes that keep your mind occupied and conversations going... More

After 10 years coming to Aruba it was time for something new. Gasparito did not disappoint. A small facility with a friendly owner with meals cooked to order, you felt like you were in someone's home and not a restaurant. Try the local Aruban dishes/platters: you won't be disappointed. Gasparito is a bit out of the way but worth the... More

The owner Ray is a great host and interesting person to meet and speak with. The menu has lots of fresh fish, though I myself felt like ribs that night, and they were good too. We brought our own wine and paid a $10 USD corking fee. A worthwhile dining experience and better than the chain restaurants.

So we hailed a taxi to go to a restaurant called Red Fish and when we got there, it was closed. It was a Monday at 5:30pm. It didn't look that good either as it was in the middle of a parking lot. Oh well, things happen for a reason, right? We asked our taxi driver to take us to... More

My family and I were looking for an authentic Aruban experience off the typical tourist path and stumbled on this fantastic restaurant. The food was exceptional! To set the stage this restaurant serves 15-18 dinners (individuals) nightly (the place seats around 22 I believe) and the food is made to order. We were fortunate to be able to walk in... More

I have eaten at Gasparito on every visit to Aruba, sometimes twice. Over the years the road out front has finally been paved, they finally have a website, and this time we got to see the changes taking place as the family looks to remove the art gallery and put in a wine and cheese taking room. Change is inevitable... More

Rated as one of the 3 best restaurants for local Aruban food, this was a unique experience. Within a house that is a few centuries old is this small restaurant (less than 2 dozen capacity) with paintings on the wall. We started with their famous Gasparito chicken prepared in special sauces The fresh fish dishes were equally well prepared and... More
