We had visited L’Huitrier Pie about 3 years ago and I was eager to return as I remembered enjoying it very much. Wow! What a difference 3 years can make! This is just the best restaurant experience I have ever had and we are lucky to eat out often at Michelin restaurants.
We were accompanied by our dog and so sat in the courtyard which is a beautiful and clean area.
Everything here is top class, the sommelier is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and her dress is impeccable.
Each course we were served was presented beautifully and the flavours and textures were amazing. The chefs really know how to prepare exquisite dishes. The various amuse bouche were perfect palate cleansers and always presented with style. The cutlery and plates are all works of art in themselves. Everything is done to make you feel special.
I am hoping to return early next year for my birthday and I can’t wait to dine at this stunning restaurant once more.

Usually when we dine in a Micheline-starred restaurant, my partner and I prefer the discover / surprise menu. However, owing to our love for monkfish, we both opted for the monkfish as the main course in a mini-4 course menu. We did not opt for wine pairing (I don't do so well with too many glasses ;) ) The somelier was more than helpful to discuss her recommendations with us and ended up helping us choose 4 glasses of wine and a glass of very tasty coffee liquor. Knowing that this was a belated anniversary dinner, the restaurant also surprised us with an additional small dessert at the end of the meal. We absolutely enjoyed our time at the restaurant and the team made it a very memorable one!

We visited the restaurant at lunch time and had the most fantastic 4 course tasting menu, which represented such excellent value for money. Every dish was absolutely beautiful and prepared with the finest ingredients. This was the best restaurant we visited in the Bordeaux area, with the food being far better than a Michelin 2 star that we had eaten at the night before. The service was warm, friendly and staff were very knowledgeable and the atmosphere was nicely informal. My husband also really enjoyed the wine flight. I would love to return one day and highly recommend.

This was one of the best meals we have had anywhere. Everything about our evening was wonderful from the lovely terrace to the young enthusiastic friendly & efficient staff to the most wonderful plates of food. Not only did every course taste fantastic but the presentation was second to none. The four of us ate from the 7 course menu which they adapted slightly for me as I had informed them prior to dining that I did not eat meat. Not one of us had a single criticism about any of the dishes - we cannot praise it enough. Thank you to the chefs and the staff as it made a significant birthday on July 9th even more special. Merci beaucoup.

Speechless. We were a group of 6 and were speechless at the amazing meal we had at this restaurant. We had the 7 Course Menu, some with 4 paired wines and some with a La carte wines.
Every course was a new culinary experience, the presentations were clever and creative, and the staff was attentive and professional.
Simply a wonderful evening.
These Chefs are ready for their Michelin Star!

The level of quality of food and presentation and taste is amazing cooked by this young couple that are truly talented. Hurry before it goes up in price. Really enjoyed the setting, service and above all the quality and taste of the dishes. Thank you!

Exceptional fine dining. Young and enthusiastic servers took great care with the presentation of very interesting and imaginative cuisine. Wine pairings offered were appropriate and of high quality, and house made chevre cheese was the best I have had in years. We weren’t placed in an ideal location but the atmosphere was still good. Serving team was great.

Lovely moment on our last night in St Emilion. The team is fresh young and very passionate we had a lovely moment with them, food was great and the fantastic various cutlery and croquery gave justice to the lovely thought through dishes from our “7 temps menu” very nice recommendations throughout from the cocktails to the wines chosen in 3 separate glasses to give rythme to the meal. We left with details of the chateau producing the fabulous red wine we’ve had and the chefs’ homemade cheeses were a fantastic addition. They are aiming for a star and that’s all the bad we wish them. Thank you huitrier pie team!

L’Huitrier-Pie is one of best fine dining choices in Saint Emilion. Elegant setting, super attentive service and sommelier, and very high quality, creative dishes at reasonable prices. I would not be surprised if the chefs received a Michelin Star in future - they deserve it!

I will start by saying the food was very good and the wine pairings lovely. Where my husband and I struggled was with how long dinner took overall. We had an 8:30 PM reservation and opted for the 9-course tasting menu. When we left after midnight (at which point I was falling asleep), we had not received the last (small desserts) course. They did kindly box it up so we could take it to-go.
Maybe this is an “us” problem with how long the dinner took given the number of courses. However, we have enjoyed a couple of other tasting menus while in France with a similar quantity of food that lasted ~2.5 hours total without feeling rushed. Here it felt like there was a lot of downtime waiting for plates to be cleared between courses, which maybe contributed to the next course being fired late, etc.

Situated in the streets of Saint-Emilion this restaurant provided us with an excellent meal. We opted for a tasting menu and were impressed by the flavours created in each course. The welcome and service by the staff was exceptional. With the constraints of the building on the provision of the service, the staff worked exceedingly hard. We would return without hesitation.

Very difficult to start this review… since we loved everything about this restaurant! From the beginning right up until the end. What a great experience!
It was the first time my partner and I went for a gastronomic dinner after my pregnancy (during which I mostly stayed away from gastronomic restaurants to avoid tempting crude meats & fish and outstanding wine lists) During our trip to Santander, we stopped over in Saint Emilion and decided to give it a try… datenight with a 7 week old baby. After a quick google search, I picked L’Huitrier Pie without knowing very much about it, but something triggered me and I made a reservation. And oh well… My gut feeling was right! Amazing dishes, skilled sommelier, very nice and understanding personnel and very cozy (babyproof) outdoor seating on the terrace! Because of our baby’s schedule, we only opted for the smallest 5-course Menu Vegetale but the chefs definitely left us with the desire for more… We will be back and recommending this to all our family and friends!

A focus on local ingredients and flavors of summer … mint, strawberries, etc. We opted for the nine course degustation menu and were not disappointed. Not too much food and nicely timed, with no rushing the courses. Some interesting flavor combinations with traditionally sweet and savory together, all delicious. Also opted for wine pairing. It was a little hot inside with no air conditioning, otherwise absolutely perfect.

Marvelous. We went to eat and I could say that it was one of the best meals I have ever had.
Sophisticated food, with surprising preparation and harmony in each dish.
Perhaps what caught my attention the most is that. The dishes were harmonious and perfectly complete in flavors, colors and aromas.
The 66 euro menu is very adequate in terms of quality-price ratio.
The staff's attention was great, doing everything possible to understand us in our language.
The place, quiet, cozy and with a charming little terrace.
Totally recommended!

Pleasant restaurant and friendly service, food disappointing. Received the welcome pre stater which was melon and mascarpone, starter was then tomato and mascarpone … odd so similar. Also had the wine flight with one of them being a cider, absolutely awful. Didn’t realise the cheese was extra cost, but was best course. 390 euros for 2 , expensive disappointment. Had much better meals in St Emilion during our stay for half the price,
