Our intention was to have lunch here after visiting the old town. On ending, we found the premises to be quite grubby, sticky tables and dirty floor. So, we opted for a quick drink then went to the Boulanger next door - fabulous move on our part.

Popped in for a quick coffee before visiting the memorial nearby. Cheap, cheerful and excellent coffee......reasonably priced lunch menu (which we didn't stay to savour but it LOOKED good!). English couple arrived for breakfast whilst we were there......breakfast not available but they were directed to a nearby boulangerie and invited to eat their purchases on the café terrace. Not sure... More

We were hungry after visiting the ruins of Oradour sur Glane and after being told at a couple of other establishments we went into that they don't serve food we found this place. The owner Ben is a very funny guy and provided us with a great meal and a laugh.

Came here three years ago and we're served in a completely different way. My wide asked the big black waiter for a bottle of mayo and you'd have thought she asked if she could have the money in his wallet. He grunted at her and smashed the bottle down on the table and then walked off, very rude indeed. Not... More

We had a great economical lunch at this great little bar. The proprietor even spoke some English. It was mid-afternoon but snacks were still available.

A group of us visited before going to visit the old village and the museum. It was the only place open. The owner was very welcoming and cheerful, however the food was disappointing, several of the group had chips which tasted like they had been reheated several times. The place could also do with a good clean. The hot chocolate... More

Unlike some other reviewers can't fault. Benji, the proprietor, is a real character with a great humour. Don't eat "Brit" that's not what you're there for, try one of his Croque Monsieur's they are a meal in themselves. It's only a PMU so you expect good value but not always the trimmings, that's part of the experience.

We had just visited the ruined village and decided to have a snack and a drink. Le Big Ben was the first place we found that still sold food as we had missed lunch. Benji was very welcoming, our drinks arrived very quickly and we ordered two Croque Monsieur. They were excellent, we then moved into the bar area and... More
