Salt n Pepper squid was chef made, not from a packet like many places, and was excellent. Guinness Pie was amazing. Good sized kids meal.

Cheap little spot for an overnight stay. Room was clean, owners were good fun, and the food was great.

Dark red decor with dark green window frames and doors, complete with green plastic outdoor garden chairs was a bit of a surprise,so was not expecting much, meal however was excellent! I had fish and my husband had steak, both were delicious. The home fried chips were particularly memorable, have not had chips like that in years!

This is a welcome stopover for a weary traveller. Very welcoming staff and good selection of pub grub.....with ample portions too. They also offer accommodation that is well priced for a good night's sleep. Definitely consider as an alternative to nearby Geraldton, you won't be disappointed.

Was tossing up where to eat in this bustling metropolis of Northampton , and was 'advised' to go to the 'Tavern' .. the 'bottom pub' Great decision !!! Firstly the chef was a chef ( even in a chef uniform' ) not a cook ,in jeans and a polo The chicken breast was 'real' and actually 'prepared' , not thawed... More

Excellent meal. Great service as we got there and they were really busy, and it didn't trouble them to make sure we had a table to sit at. Meal cooked to perfection and delicious.

Thank you Sharon for your positive review. Paul our chef is very talented and has worked in the famous restaurants of Carlton's Lygon Street Melbourne, The Territory Manor Mataranka, down south Karridale, had his own restaurants and travelled, worked overseas to build on his culinary knowledge. Larranne our front of house manager is also very broad spectrum on her hospitality... More

I enjoyed my dinner, it was very well cooked and was a nice large portion. It did take awhile to come out as we were there on a busy night but was happy listening to the juke box. However the artwork (decoration) in the bar was not to my taste ...(naked women)

Sorry if you found my artwork offensive, we do have a couple of Bottom pictures as we are also known as the "Bottom Pub" of Northampton. One poster picture has being up on the wall for over 35 years and lots of visitors like getting their picture taken with it especially our Japan and China guests. There is three pubs... More

Not the best, pretty average. The Beef & Guinness Pie was not as crash hot as other people said it was. The Hawaiian pizza had a pre-made shop bought base, edible but not the best. A home-made fresh dough base would taste better 😉 The Mediterranean Calamari was nice. Ordered a jug of Lemon, Lime & Bitters that was disgusting.... More

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy the dining experience here. Our pizza bases are a premium base that we sourced from our catering company and have being using since 2005 after we have tried different brands. Since we do not just centre on pizza meals and offer a broad menu for all tastes especially people who are vegetarian and... More

Thank you for your review. Have reconfigured the room, thanks for your suggestion and the curtain had being pulled back so far it had got caught up on the end hinge. The building is a grand 140 years old and the rooms along the front used to be the ladies waiting rooms whilst the men wet their whistle in the... More
