Danny's isn't what it used to be. I have eaten there twice in the last six months and the food for both myself and my guest was awful. The chicken breast that are used for the dishes are obviously not fresh but a pre-frozen, water-added type of a meat. The dishes that are cooked with them have no flavor at... More
This is a bar that sells food. It is busy, noisy and the food is good. Having said that if you are looking for an intimate dining experience this may not be it. There are specials daily and an extensive menu all members in my family enjoyed their meals. Onion soup, burgers, crispy chicken caesar salad were tasty and portions... More
OK first of all this is a bar that sells food. Anyone looking for a quiet out of the way place won't find it here, so one shouldn't complain about it being loud. With that said, the food was excellent and the service even better. I will definitely be back.
Rainy night out with friends from Florida and locals. Danny's is easy to get to and has lots of choices for whatever you'd like. This aspect was key because this group is very diverse in their tastes..No complaints on anything from soup to seafood, and the portions are good sized. However one Reuben sandwich was too salty and fatty. My... More
This is a must stop as you enter the southeast Catskills and Sullivan County. Old pub charm with locals and bikers all enjoying good service and home cooking. Sit at the bar or the adjacent sitting area, but also a back area with more quiet. This is not a sports bar so even though there are a few TV's you... More
I enjoyed this restaurant very much. Excellent service and delicious food. My husband had a Bacon Burger which was delicious. I had scallops that were overcooked but I was just happy to be on a date without the kids so I overlooked it. I would definitely try it again. I want to try the sauerbraten next visit!
A landmark in the Catskills Mt area just off NY Rte 17. Good plain good at reasonable prices. Quaint bldg built in the early 1800's. Servers are very friendly and attentive. We were there during lunch on a brilliant early fall day. The place was packed. Fortunately we reserved in advance. Despite the full house, we got served and put... More
We stopped for dinner with another couple. The place was quite crowded and very noisy. It was difficult to carry on a conversation. The food and service were good. The portions were very generous. There are not many places to eat nearby so this place draws many regulars and also people passing through. When we lived nearby we often stopped... More
Food is awful, waitresses are incompetent! This place smells like they still allow smoking. It gagged me. The young girl working there seemed to be high on something, she had no clue as to what was going on or where she was. I will never eat here again. Building is falling down and should be condemned.
