Tyrone's is a friendly tavern near the banks, post office, train station on main street. the owner, Jimmy, is a wonderful chef and the food is delicious and the portions are plentiful.

Been going here for years, and I don't drink, (go figure). It is a pub, w a lot of seating for meals. Mostly lunch. Mary and Jim have been running it for at least 30 years. This is a pub… but what I go for is the Excellent Cheeseburger….One of the Best in the Westchester County and NYC.…Forget Five Guys,Bronx Burger House, Shake Shack, Strand burger, Smashburger, YoBurger, Elevation Burger,Candlelight Inn… Jimmy can make a burger better than all of them… albeit he has had many years of practice(50+). Friend came up from the city and we met at the Yonkers Metro North stop. Only had a few house to spare to eat and have a few drinks to catch up. This place is right around the corner. Only in business in downtown Yonkers for 53 year,s The Tyrone House is a staple in west Yonkers. Jimmy in the kitchen makes great burgers, chicken cutlets, meat loaf, real mashed potatoes, the best corned beef/cabbage and potato salad you could imagine.
