I have been to the Banner Elk Cafe & Lodge many of times over the past 10 years. It is one of my favorite places to go have dinner with family, grab some drinks with girlfriends or just come sit on the couch and enjoy some coffee! Service has always been wonderful, owners have been in there almost every time... More

We visit this area about two or three times a year. Usually go to Boone and have lunch there. Today we passed by on way to Boone and saw the the Banner Elk Cafe and decided to have lunch. It was a wonderful delight. The service was super friendly and helpful. We ordered sandwiches, mine the grilled blackened magi. Delicious.... More

Great coffee & soy lattes; great atmosphere; cozy & romantic! Friendly staff! The desserts looked amazing but we didn't try any this time

Best desserts in the area. Food is good, outside dining available when weather allows. I would highly recommend if you have a sweat tooth, don't pass up the cafe

We have a condo at Beech and have been coming here for a few years and it is ALWAYS excellent. From their unique and innovative recipes to classic dishes that would satisfy the most finicky eater it is a perfect mountain restaurant whether it is a romantic night to a family to group event. They often have live music and... More

Had saved this place as a lunch stop due to the great reviews on tripadvisor. After hitting the slopes we were hungry and thus place met all of our expectations. Small cozy place on the cafe side. Had to wait for a few minutes but seeing them this busy reassured us. A couple of different menus (from cafe and lodge)... More

Stopped here on our way out of town after a week of snowboarding. Had a hearty breakfast...great portions, delicious and varied menu options and at reasonable prices. They kept the coffee flowing and everyone enjoyed their sections: eggs Benedict, pancakes, etc. We would definitely return if we visit the area in the future.

This place is great for a large group who all have different tastes. Good if you just visited the slopes and want a warm drink and food before night skiing.
