Avocado toast was delicious, simple; whole grain bread, avocado, chia seeds, and an egg; the pancake special was very original and very good; cream cheese and graham crackers in the batter with strawberry syrup and whipped cream.

The restaurant is very clean and the food on the plate looks appetizing and not greasy. The staff is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. Many choices for breakfast and everything tasted very good.

We waited 40 minutes to be sat at a table for 4 with 5 full-grown adults. Before being seated, we asked the hostess if we could be seated at the empty table for six next to us. She rudely stated that she had a party...More

So this is probably the best breakfast you'll find in Boone. I've lived in Boone for 14 years and I've gone to this place countless times and I've never had a meal I didn't throughly enjoy. Get the home fries they're amazing. Just saying. Hope...More

The 30 minute wait was worth it! Our waitress was Liza and she was so friendly and always kept the coffee cup filled. The gravy is excellent and we really enjoyed the hash browns. Perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. Could not finish my breakfast...More

My husband and I regularly travel from West Jefferson for breakfast at the Sunrise Grill. The quality of the food is only surpassed by the service, which is the best you'll find anywhere. Go early! It gets slammed. But if you have to wait, it's...More

I bet the food here is delicious. We had plenty of time to analyze the menu after sitting 10 minutes at the table with no server to even take our drink order. Didn't mind the 30 minute wait to be seated but watching people that...More

My husband ordered one of the key shoes. We were there between 8:30 and 9 and even if they made the keys first thing in the morning they should have kept it better so it wasn't so dry. The Grits were good though. I ordered...More

Brad, I am the owner of Sunrise and I am terribly sorry for your uncomfortable experience on your recent visit. I can assure you that the kitchen staff member did not return to work without removing his/her gloves, thoroughly washing their hands and then adding new gloves. Each kitchen employee is required to wash their hands anytime they leave the kitchen space for any reason. They pass the handwash sink prior to entering the cooking area. We are very careful regarding cleanliness and health concerns, please know it IS our No 1 priority. Our bearded staff are required to wear a beard guard at all times and staff are require to wear a hairnet or hat. I appreciate I probably cannot change your perception but I want you to know we would NOT allow this.

I don't think this response was to my review. I did notice that the guy cooking in the back had a beard guard on because we discussed it at our table. I didn't have a bad experience there at all, we really liked our visit... More
