We were a party of four including two kids(7 and 5), arrived shortly after 9am this Sunday. My husband and me were ten minutes behind, dropping off condo keys at rental office. When our turn came at Melanie's for a six seat table conveniently located for me (I am on crutches) , the party of four was refused sitting: the... More

I am also sorry that you did not enjoy your pancake and stuffed french toast and that the bacon was just "ok". The stuffed french toast is described as something very sweet and excessive. That's what makes it such a favorite here at Melanie's. If the pancake was not fluffy enough for you then I do apologize. I'm also sorry... More

Our food was good, service was excellent, atmosphere was nice. But we went for breakfast and we don't eat eggs. It says on their menu, on their website, and even by phone that most things can be made vegan. The breakfast menu is two pages of wonderful looking, mouthwatering options, every single one with eggs. There were biscuits and gravy... More

We ate here on two occasions whilst on holiday from UK. It was actually the first place we ate in in Boone. We were staying not far away up the Doe Ridge Road. The service was friendly and accommodating, the food was tasty and it is a great place to sit in the sunshine and watch the world (well at... More

Starting with friendly smiles from the servers Melanies is always a great stop for breakfast. No request is too small and the prices are perfect. Their various specialities from the kitchen are always enticing with a hint of being true temptation to one's sweet tooth. Very family friendly place. The only negative is it can get packed and the seating... More

We stopped for breakfast on Saturday. Had to wait 30 minutes. They have seating inside and outside. It was a nice day so we sat outside. It was during the Labor Day holiday and very crowded. My husband had the Lumberjack which he thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered blueberry pancakes and bacon. Their pancakes are the best I have ever eaten... More

This gem of a place is located in the heart of downtown near Appalachia State. The energy in town was high as people were getting ready for their first football game. My husband and I lucked on Melanie's. We both enjoyed delicious omelets. I tried the fresh herb and it was probably one of the best omelets I have ever... More

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast in Boone. I recommend the Trucker's Breakfast. The gravy is delicious! They also have very yummy coffee. Aside from the good food it is also just a really nice atmosphere. I would say that you want to get there early, especially if you are planning on brunch as the line can become... More

Melanie's is a tradition in downtown Boone serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. We source all of our bread, eggs and burgers locally as well as other items when we can. We have an eclectic and creative menu serving food made from scratch. We are sensitive to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners. Now open evening hours with a new small plate menu, Booneshine beer on draft and wine by the glass. Come see us Thur-Sat evenings and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat on our beautiful deck while you watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Boone.
