Best bacon egg and cheese croissant I have ever had. The upstairs seating area is so cute. Take a few extra minutes and get your breakfast here, you won't be sorry. Great frozen drinks too and staff were happy to explain choices and make something...More
The cappuccino has a distinctive European flavor. Robust but not bitter. The owner took special care to meet our needs. Great ambiance and dedicated staff.

Just had a wonderful breakfast and coffee. Friendly and home town. Been a regular for lunch and so happy about dinner on Monday and Tuesday. Priced reasonable.

Appalachian Java was a delightful discovery during a recent trip to western NC. Locally owned and operated by Angie and Calvin Rash, the cafe offers a wide variety of world coffees along with delicious home-made oatmeal cookies by baker Chris McMahan. Don't miss it!
Don't go in if you are tempted by fresh goodies and don't want to have a snack. There is always something good to eat with that cup of coffee. The food on the standard menu is also excellent.
I am honestly so very pleased with the variety of coffees available here. They can literaly make anything. I also enjoyed the quiche very much. It's definately a great morning treat anytime!
