Stopped in here on New Years Eve for lunch. We sat at the bar and gorged ourselves on fresh oysters from Stump Sound and a couple of draft beers. The two ladies working the bar and surrounding tables were working their butts off...they were pleasant, never stopped running, and kept our beers full. Awesome, local spot!

We had steamed oysters. They were slightly gritty. I was surprised they charge $2 extra for shucking the oysters. They appear to be a sports bar with lots of TVs but it also appears to be family-friendly. Staff is very nice and efficient. I would go back if I was in the area again

Awesome oysters, shrimp, crab legs, mussels etc. There are not many seats but worth the wait! Beer selection was great as well.

We loved everything about this hole in wall! Fish & chips, lobster roll, fried pickles and fries were all delish!

Overpriced Fried and Steamed Food. Very limited menu. Sour smell at bar. Seems to be a local type watering hole. Food is typical bar type.

On a recent trip to Carolina Beach we were looking for a casual, funky restaurant that specialized in oysters. We searched TA and other sites and found the Shuckin Shack. We each had a dozen, one raw, one steamed. Both fresh and very good. They have a number of draft beers including some crafts. We settled for bloody marys which we... More

High recommend the shrimp in Old Bay. Shrimp is large and perfectly steamed. The service was great too - very efficient but didn't make us feel rushed.

Today shrimp just happened to be 25% off and they were very very easy to peel and very delicious. I had them with Old Bay and cocktail sauce. The bartender was very friendly and kept checking on me. I will be back very soon to have some more shrimp, and try some oysters and other items on the menu :-)

I stopped in on Saturday night thinking I would sit at the bar and eat. The restaurant was crowded so I decided to order take out. when I got to my room I was impressed with the amount of food and how good it all tasted.

Thank Kim T
