We went on a football evening, so all the town's restaurants were pretty empty, as was Mint. The service was friendly and efficient. We had a lamb and a chicken curry. Both were well prepared and the portions were generous. With nan, rice and raita, there was more than enough food. The price was about right and the ambiance was... More

Lovely restaurant and ambiance. Attentive service. Good solid food. Mulligatawny soup very well done. Small vowel but low price. Lamb vindaloo tasty but not hot enough even though I asked for what they call "Indian hot". Asked for more hot sauce which made it just right! Eggplant dish also fine. All in all a very solid restaurant. Good portions. Reasonable... More

I ate here, a few weeks back as part of a food tour of Chapel Hill. Out of all the restaurants we dined at, this was the only one that really stood out and one I plan to return on my next visit to Chapel Hill. While, I didn't get the full experience at Mint, they did provide the group... More

Chapel Hill is loaded with wonderful choices of restaurants ; this was our first visit to Mint for their lunch buffet. The decor and atmosphere seemed great for a couple's date night. Three of us all had the buffet . The vegetarian entrees were too limited ,but the chicken and goat gave our omnivores some nice variety. There were several... More

If you're looking for inexpensive but really good Indian food, this is not the place. The atmosphere here is more suited towards couples and date night. The naan was incredible, but the two entrees we ordered were not worth the price, even after a student discount of 10%.

Popped in for lunch when our first choice didn't pan out - glad we did. I'm not the biggest fan of buffets of Indian cuisine because it almost always lack spiciness and complexity - most are just bland. But the food here was very nicely done, and there were a number of sauces, riata, and even their house hot sauce... More

Several in our family had the lunch buffet at Mint on July 4th. Our choice was prompted by the good reviews of the lunch buffet. The food taste was decent. As vegetarians,we had very few dishes; no pulao, that was shrimp; the main hot appetizer was fish-based; the entrees fro vegetarians were bharta, mutter paneer, and a vegetable curry. The... More

The lunch buffet is one of the lease expensive in the area. However, the selection was not as wide as at some other places. The garlic naan at the buffet was a very appreciated surprise. There was goat and chicken dishes as well as veggie dishes such as spinach pakora. Everything is labeled but I wish there had been more... More

We have been to Mint multiple times in Chapel Hill. Recently, we have noticed (the last 2 times) that it has started to trend toward mediocrity. The atmosphere is better than average (we are disappointed that the Sitar player has left), price is fair for the portion sizes. We have also noticed that if you are with a group of... More

Mint is an upscale Indian restaurant that offers a wonderful array of foods on their lunch buffet. They have both vegetarian and meat dishes with different flavors of sauces. I honestly can't choose among the offerings and end up taking some of each. You won't go away hungry. I also really enjoyed the rice pudding dessert - don't miss it... More
