We have eaten at City Kitchen many times for dinner and for Sunday brunch. Easy parking. This restaurant has a nice decor, excellent service, and good food. Their menu is for everyone's taste, they even have pizza and sushi! Their salad are light and tasty....More

First of all, the place was FREEZING cold. Second, the service was extremely SLOW. Third, food was mediocre at best. Pizza is loaded with garlic.

We had dinner at City Kitchen early before a play in Chapel Hill April 13. We ordered the fried calamari for an opener which was not very crispy and had huge pieces. When asked because we left a substantial portion uneaten, we commented on that...More

Look for the specials on drinks and food to make a visit more worthwhile, otherwise a great place to stop in for a quick bite, drinks, or a nice dinner--seems to be a spot for parents to hang out when in town visiting college students,...More

It's always a positive sign when the owner greets you upon arrival at a restaurant. Their presence means they care about the place. This happened as soon as we were seated. The waiter, Dane, was energetic, informative and enjoyable-all features that add to the experience. My...More

It's clean and the food is pretty ok. We sat at the bar for lunch and it was definitely edible but predictable. Easy parking and service was good.More

Hi Larry, Thank you for your recent trip to City Kitchen. While our lunch menu does offer classic American fare, I would suggest rejoining us for dinner where our menu is a bit more globally inspired and dynamic. We hope to have you back again...More

Chef brought together the flavors on many basic southern dishes with flair. Short ribs made you salivate afterwards. Portions were well worth the cost, which was also very reasonable for what you received.

We needed a space for 20 people for a last-minute reservation and City Kitchen not only accommodated us, they didn't charge for a separate room, like a number of restaurants in the area. They set us at 2 big tables and we had plenty of...More

Quite frankly, I like the ambiance better than their food choices. If someone were to invite me to eat there, I would go -- no question. But I haven't found their portions to be as adequate as I would like when compared to price. They...More
