Based on a few negative reviews, I was a little concerned about this reservation but those concerns quickly dissipated as soon as I set down. Wine by the glass was great. The space felt intimate and the simple decor gave off a zen vibe. And...More

The Lantern has one of the most impressively creative Asian menus in Chapel Hill. Small and intimate dining area with cozy bar upstairs. Every bite is a treat to the senses!

Delicious, creative Asian fusion food. Menu changes which is nice. Expensive but very high quality. Sea food tartares are excellent, as most things are. Great cocktails and good service. Not child friendly (carpeted rooms, very quiet). Restaurant has different types of rooms where you can...More

We loved our experience at the Lantern last evening. The food was very good. For starters we had the pickle plate (a creative collection of seasonal veggies all pickled—really creative and cute) and pork dumplings. Entrees included the red drum, excellent prep with baby bok...More

We didn't have reservations at the Lantern, because we assumed that arriving as they opened at 5:30pm on a weeknight, we would have no trouble getting a table. They were able to seat us at a table in the bar, but if you want seating...More

This is something different for the Chapel Hill/Durham area and a great change of pace. The chaat, all roasted veggies was most appreciated by several of us, the fried catfish with rice on red curry sauce was lovely, and others enjoyed the fried shrimp in...More

This place is outstanding - just so long as you like dishes that are well-seasoned. We do. No problem at all. It's small, not noisy, and obviously attracts a crowd from the great University of North Carolina that is just a few blocks away. It's...More

Good food, some unusual but their prices for for the amount you are served are way out of whack. How can any restaurant not serve ice tea????? Its a Carolina/Southern staple! If you are looking for funky food and don't care about value- go for...More

We went here for the first time in awhile. We had the bento box and pork shoulder which turned out to be a great match. We made sushi rolls from the nori, smoked salmon, rice, cabbage etc in the bento box and then we made...More

This restaurant is fantastic. Food is terrific, as are the knowledgeable wait staff. Our waiter Brandon was super professional and excellent. Do not miss the dumplings!

Hello Paul, Sorry I just caught your question. It would probably be $20 per person entree, not counting appetizers or dessert. So $300 estimate without tax or tip.
