Fun place to enjoy the spirit of Chapel Hill. Good food, great selection of beer and wine and of course a wonderful view of Franklin Street.

We went here on a busy saturday night after a mens basketball game. It was crowded, but the wait time was still decent. Try a flight of beer - it is a great selection. All of the food we tried was excellent, and were really surprised how reasonable the prices were compared to some of the other places we visited.... More

It was fun to have a late snack on the balcony overlooking Franklin Street Activities! We had wine and backed mushrooms, it was fun time and food.

I love this place. The food is good, the location is great, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and the beer is cold, fresh, and interesting. In short, it is college town dining at its best. Our family has eaten here on several occasions and we haven't been disappointed. I've tasted various entrees ordered by family members and... More

I will say upfront that I am not a sports person. I went with my date because his Alma Mater is here and he enjoyed seeing the basketball coach do a live show from the restaurant. I thought the food (tuna appetizer and pimento/BBQ pork flatbread) was nothing special. I also am not a beer drinker so I can't vouch... More

I have only been after 10:00 PM, but have been a few times. They brew their own beer and they have some pretty solid beer and other drink choices. However, what has been surprising is the quality of the food on the late night menu. It is very good. Honestly, it is far better than should be expected for any... More

We were visiting from out of state, & had dinner here with friends on a Saturday night. We had reservations, which I'd recommend as it was busy, with the usual mix you find in a college town. The service was prompt & friendly, the atmosphere was upbeat but not noisy, and the food was fantastic! We each ordered something different,... More

On a business trip and were checking out the campus. We asked some students about a good restaurant and they recommence Top of the Hill. Good food, tasty and well portioned. Nice atmosphere famous for their NCAA view victory right on the menu. Try the India Pale beer - nice and tasty.

We were looking forward to dining at the famed Top of the Hill when taking our dd back to school. The experience was horrible. Service was slow, they had NO CLUE had to handle GF diners, messed up our order and had to remake 4 or out 5 meals, and then offered no apology or break in cost. We left... More
