My first time to eat here today. I was VERY hungry after my group toured the Duke Mansion. The place was dark — not the romantic kind of dark; I would say, trying to hide something dark... Asked for a recommendation from the staff and...was told Pad Prik. It was a considerable amount of wait time for my food to arrive.... BUT, the food was NOT hot — not even warm!!! I’m hungry, I ate it — but all the while wondering why the food is not hot IFFF it was newly cooked.... Food tastes good, but still....More

Not fantastic thai food but decent. Has a nice atmosphere and outdoor seating. Service was okay, not super attentive though.

Hard to find great Thai food in Charlotte, and Deejai Thai is one of the better ones. We have branched out to most of the menu (dine in and takeout), and it is all decent. Recommend if you like Thai food.

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time tonight after hearing how good it was from other people. We ordered a flight of sake which was mostly good. I do NOT recommend the pink lady sake. I do recommend the pear flavored...sake. We ordered a bottle to take home after trying it in the flight. As far as food you get a decent portion for the price. I tried the vegetable wok with shrimp and he ordered the pad pric with chicken. We both said we would order the same meals again if we were to come back. Staff was friendly and the prices decent. I would recommend this place to others looking for Thai food.More

We walked to this restaurant from the Duke Mansion. Thank Goodness for the hours of this restaurant as other places were closed. We sat outside and it was quiet and peaceful and lovely. The food was SO good and the service EXCELLENT. I loved this...place.More

We went to Deejai for dinner. Service was very attentive with our water glasses never dropping below 3/4 full. We started with the fried, vegetarian spring rolls and the fresh basil rolls with shrimp. The spring rolls were unremarkable. But, the basil rolls were bright...and fresh with a tasty and slightly spicy peanut sauce. We had a selection of entrees. The portions were generous. The flavors were nice, just a bit mild for our preferences. For example the coconut milk in the green curry dominated the extremely mild curry flavors. In conclusion, the basil rolls were the highlight of an otherwise pleasant, but not particularly memorable meal.More

When a group of 12 just walk in....sounds like the beginning of a bad story. But not for our group at Deejai They easily arranged for us to be seated together and then the wonderful experience began. Service and food were amazing. By all means...order Duck Curry.More

We often go to the theater next door, and we've eaten here before. The food has always been consistently very good to excellent, and this recent visit definitely rang the "excellent bell." We particularly enjoyed the Drunken Noodles and the Spicy Thai Lemongrass. It was...definitely a five-star meal!More

Went with a group of ladies for lunch before a movie. The service was good as well as the food. They offer free soup and appetizers before lunch-a nice touch!

Honestly, I’m from that region and this place hits it right on! I always ask them to make it spicy just as they would back in Thailand! I love it spicy but they understand that not everyone can like my son so they also make...it not spicy for him but still full of flavor.More

It depends. If you went yesterday, July 13th, you would not have had more than a few minute wait. A lot of people go out of town during the summer, and Deejai is less crowded. In the fall, you might up to 30 minutes: if you... More
