A very good casual Italian restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I would recommend the ravioli and pasta. Save room for dessert.

One of the oldest restaurants in Charlotte. It is like stepping back in time! The decor is dark and eclectic with Mediterranean motifs and traditional red-white checked tablecloths. The menu is large and provides a nice variety of choices ranging from soup/salad, to sandwiches/pizza to...More
I went here for a casual lunch on Friday. Tried the meatballs and spaghetti. Meatballs were amazing, the sauce and spaghetti were ok. The ambiance was good, had a nice rustic look.
Never had anything bad here. It's not just good, it's amazing. The best Italian food ever. The atmosphere is a little dim, quiet, and friendly. All the walls are brick and covered with papers, stories, posters, etc. The whole restaurant is just warm and friendly...More

We stopped in the day after Thanksgiving for a pizza. We were staying in the Wesley Heights area and were intrigued when we drove past because the outside looked like an older establishment, which we like. The red checked tablecloths, years of memorabilia on the...More
My wife and I were at the airport and needed somewhere close for dinner. We decided on Italian and Open Kitchen seemed like a good choice. We were right. This business has been around for many years and after our experience I know why. We...More
This the first Italian place I recall eating at. It has been a tradition in my family, and even now, the food has remained superb. This is true Italian, not frozen, nor processed, but true, actual cooking in the Italian tradition. Yes, the building is...More
A local directed us here when the place we were looking for was closed. It's nondescript if you were just driving by but the locals sure seem to know about it. They had a great Italian Menu and the ambiance was fun and overdone Italian....More
