Attended 12.14.2016 lunch time. The menue described the Bogart sandwich as "rare roast beef with au jus and carmelized onions." I got the half sandwich with cup of soup. The half sandwich was VERY small, MAYBE two ounces of beef. Not rare. Well done. No au jus. The onion amounted to about 1/4 the size of an average onion ring.... More

Ordered the greek salad with chicken and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients and delicious dressing. Also their cookies are a must!

Bought several of their pre-made items to try at home in anticipation of houseguests. I purchased the Chicken Pie, Spinach Lasagne, Tomato Pie and the $30 Aparagus in Phyllo appetizers - yuck, yuck, yuck and really expensive and yuck. The presentation and upscale labels makes the food look delicious - but unfortunately it is all in the packaging. Skip it.

My daughter and I often eat lunch here; delicious food and friendly, helpful waitstaff. My favorite is the turkey and dilled havarti sandwich, which I order on whole wheat bread and my daughter prefers the caprese baguette or a custom made turkey sandwich. Their soups, expecially the tomato bisque, salads, and desserts are also good. They do offer premade dinners... More

I went to the cafe in Uptown Charlotte for lunch. There were lots of choices for lunch in the area, but this cafe looked cozy. I only got the 1/2 sandwich and soup, so what could go wrong? I didn't want the chicken salad on a croissant, so the order taker directed me to the dairy case for the pre-made... More

First time there. All items are prepared fresh. My daughter had a special turkey sandwich with a pasta side salad. I had quiche Lorraine with side salad. Wow!! Staff kept refilling my iced tea. I will be back to try other items.

The staff were attentive and went out of their way to make a special sandwich for me that I was taking on the plane. In addition had one of the best Lemon Bars (with Raspberries) EVER!!

We visited the "Community Cafe" location for which I cannot find a TripAdvisor listing. Very good sandwich & soup. I had the "Loretta Lynn" pimento, bacon, & tomato on grilled sourdough. Also did the "Southern Potlicker" in honor of New Years Eve. Very good.

I read about this place in a local magazine. It sounded great so I planned all week to drive the 30 minutes with a list of must tries. Sadly I have disliked virtually everything-- chicken cacciatori, pita chips, bacon, cheddar, cheese spread, chicken salad. Meatloaf was OK. Obviously it just doesn't match my likes and does plenty of other folks... More

Since I am now working in uptown Charlotte, Something Classic has become my daily lunch spot. The sandwiches, my favorites are the Egg Salad, Tuna Salad, the Southern Sammie and the "Desi Arnez" ( an excellent hot Cuban sandwich with a choice of sides). The Southern Sammie is a very good BBQ sandwich with black eyed pea caviar / paste.... More
