My husband and I stopped in for a couple of appetizers and drinks at the bar. Erin remembered us from October! We devoured the veal ravioli, cauliflower au gratin, Caesar salad and steak salad and creamed spinach. The service was impeccable and the food was superb!

We saw the Thanksgiving special advertised and decided to go for it. They special included turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, one side, a salad or gumbo and desert. I have to say their turkey was the best I have ever had, absolutley delicious. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our reservation spot to be ready but we got the... More

Service was impeccable and the food was amazing! You have to get the filet and the lobster Mac n cheese! It's expensive but so worth it. The wedge salad was also incredible!! Love this restaurant!!!

Stopped at the Uptown Ruth's Chris to check out the new look and have dinner before going to see Bonnie Raitt. Sat at the bar and were prepared to spend a few $$$ on a tasty filet. The bartender, David, brought the bar menu to our attention and we ended up with a delicious filet sandwich with fries for $9!!!... More

I am a fan of RC and have been to countless locations around the U.S. If I'm in the mood for a steak while traveling I'll keep an eye out for a nearby RC. I was in Charlotte for 1 night on business. This RC location just happened to be 2 blocks from my hotel. I walked over and met... More

The food was very savory and the service was outstanding. They have the best sweet potato casserole anywhere!

A burger with fries at Happy Hour. I think it was $10 or so. Of course any burger from a steak house is real food. It was excellent.

Dominique was a wonderful server. He made great recommendations on drinks and food. The Gumbo is On Point. It reminded me of New Orleans. Steak was cooked to perfection. And the "Sunshine in a Glass" Citrus Mojito was just what we needed! Great atmosphere inside and out. The also have valet parking.

We sat outside on the patio and had nice weather. The wait staff was professional and friendly. The rest of our experience was awful. We were there for lunch before the panthers game. I ordered the roasted grill chicken sandwich served with French fries. My companions ordered the chop salad with shrimp and the Caesar salad. Mine sandwich came on... More

They call Ruth’s Chris founder Ruth Fertel, the First Lady of American Restaurants. But before there were 130+ locations serving 25,000 steaks a day, there was a fearless single mother of two who tore an ad from the local newspaper that read “steak house for sale” and thought, “I can do that”. The year was 1965. It’s a great American story of how one person- a woman, at a time and in a business dominated by men took an idea and made it sing. What Ruth lacked in experience she made up in hard work. But it wasn’t just sixteen – hour days that made her steakhouse an icon. Ruth had the divinely simple, yet uncommonly magical way of touching people with genuine kindness- the way food and love and people just fit together in her hometown of New Orleans where the legend was born. in 1976, there was fire at the original Chris’ Steak House, destroying the restaurant and leaving Ruth in a difficult situation. But Ruth was smart, and she learned to trust her instincts. Ruth plowed forward and within seven days she was back in business in a new location just four blocks away on Broad Street in New Orleans. Tired of guests calling her Chris but not wanting to lose to loyal customer base who knew the restaurant by it’s longtime name, Ruth renamed her restaurant “Ruth’s Chris Steak House”…and the rest is history.
