2 locations in Durham. My favorite place for HD's. Gotta have the all beef "all the way" --mustard ,chill, slaw and onions. Both places are sit down and take out. Drive thru at the newest location. Informal atmosphere and reasonably priced . The help works with a smile. Also have burgers , chicken wings fries and banana pudding. Just noticed... More

A busy place, with great hot dogs! Everything cooked per order. Old photos on the wall; memorabilia - Lucy & Ethel ... Elvis Presley, etc. I believe this place is owned by a retired Vet. SUPPORT! Your stomach will be glad you did.

My husband & his friend seemed to rather enjoy this place. A bit greasy for my stomach. Family friendly, nice service.

What is not to like, simple straight forward burger and dogs. Sure it is greasy and messy but that is an expectation and what makes it good. The crinkle cut fries was just icing on the cake and very affordable for the average joe.

I always want to try a local joint when I travel. We decided to try this local place (actually, the 2nd location, for which there is listing; it's on Westpark Drive). Ain't nuthin healthy on this menu. Let's just get that out there, because sometimes a person just wants some fried food! Burgers, dogs, fried bologna, catfish, mac & cheese,... More

We stopped by while we were in town for a show at the DPAC and the hot dogs were greezy with surprisingly not much flavor and the fries were over cooked. I love a good mom and pop spot but this was just not that good.

I visit Jimmy John around 6:00, Sept 28, 2016. I walked in door and a lady was sitting in the drive thru window. That do not look very professional. There were tables that she could have been cleaning while she was waiting for a customer to drive up and the floor was dirty. This is the second time that I... More

The cashier was nice, but the steamed bun was hard on the ends (go figure), and the chili was dry enough that it fell off my hot dog. The hot dog was not very tasty. My husband had the fried catfish sandwich--he said that was good. BUT the hot dog was a hot mess!!!

Jimmy's Famous Hot Dogs are exactly that, they are a part of Durham, North Carolina. It harkens back to a day when, if you wanted a hot dog, you went to Amos 'n' Andy. I was born and raised in Durham and I have vivid memories of the little hot dog diners. Although the hamburgers aren't patted out by hand... More
