We have always like the Refectory Cafe--but this time the service was very slow. We had a crab cake sandwich which was very good but the house made chips--a weakness of mine--were terrible. I was disappointed in that. I also noticed that the menu now...More

Hello Sue, Thank you for being a fan and I hope that your visit was a fluke and "disappointing for the last time". I can not speak to the "slow" as I am not sure what happened. We take great pride in providing "slow food...More

Three of us ate a Wednesday night dinner here, enjoying a mostly empty restaurant. Service was very good and attentive. The crab cakes, although advertised as being lump, consisted of a lot of filler. They were also advertised as being accompanied by a small salad,...More

The food is terrific: fresh, well-prepared. Unfortunately the atmosphere is not conducive to a relaxing lunch, and there are often long lines waiting to order. But the food is worth the wait.
