The service is good and so are the Margaritas. The food leaves a lot to be desired. The chicken is tough and the seafood is not fresh. The chips taste more like fritos, too thick. We have been to this restaurant several times but there are many other restaurants that deserve our business.

This was our first time Torero's Mexican restaurant in Durham, NC. Overall, we thought the service was good, but the food was average for Mexican fare.

I went to this restaurant with a group of 11 co-workers on 4/30/15. We try to get out as a group to do some team building. Each person gets to pick a place and we all try it. One of the newest people on the team and in the area was up to choose. She knew she wanted Mexican cuisine... More

The food was delicious, the wait staff attentive, the ambiance comfortable. We were waited on quickly, with a generous serving of chips and salsa with our drinks. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, which were served with refried beans, rice, guac, and sour cream. My husband ordered a soup-like seafood dish. We both enjoyed our meals very much and had food... More

Metal in my food. Seriously. We showed the manager/owner and he said it was from the metal scrubbies they use on the grill, like that made it acceptable. I had to ask for another meal, it wasn't offered. They brought the other dish and it was just ok. I'm not one to ask to have a meal comped but I... More

It really is a Mexican restaurant! Eight of us had dinner and the service was fast and friendly. Good Mexican beer specials and large drinks! Food portions are generous and very traditional. The décor is very Mexican - wild and crazy. Lots of TVs showing South American soccer games! We would go back.

Classic family run Mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy, just lots of good food, huge Margaritas and friendly waiters.

This has become my "Mexican food staple." I can eat here everyday and not get bored with it. Today I'm having a taco salad deluxe and it had been made to perfection! I've been eating here for years and I can say I've never had a bad experience with my food. Great choice can't go wrong.

Torero's looks like a big chain restaurant, but does have a Latino staff that make it feel more personal. The big wooden deck is a good spot to enjoy a margarita - beware - their biggest one surely has four drinks in it! The chile relleno ordered a la carte is delicious and inexpensive. The storefront is right on 15-501... More
