A “local favorite” with “famous” fried chicken and fried shrimp. A favorite if you like overrated and overpriced meals with minimal service. Famous if you prefer heavily crusted chicken and/or shrimp from frozen stock. There are better options.
Had the small fish plate and it was very good. Received 3 good size pieces of tasty fish along with fries and hush puppies. Called ahead and they had ready when I walked in. A local favorite.
I've been here twice, once for a casual business meet up (which by the looks a lot of people do this for lunch) and then once with family with kids in tow. Both times I enjoyed it. It has that lunch counter feel, very simple....More
I had read on TA that prices were high but not really an issue for me so I went to try the "famous" fried chicken. The chicken was very good and I agree the prices are high. What bothered me was the 27 cent charge...More
Have to try the chicken wings with a side of fried okra will not be disappointed... When passing through make this one of your stops
This place has the best fried chicken of anywhere I have ever eat. The have all types of seafood such as shrimp, oysters, fish etc. there as good as any seafood place around.
I love the chicken but to me its some what a little high. They serve everything on paper plates. You get a large piece of chicken and hushpuppies are round and ok. Tea is pretty good. Some days are pretty busy depending on the time...More
Have had the pleasure of eating the shrimp, fish and chicken. All were wonderful. Just remember to take cash, no cards.
A place I often end up when eating alone. It's a great local place that had great food. The quality is consistent.
