We had always loved this restaurant and went by Saturday to satisfy ourselves that it was closed. There was a construction permit in window, so maybe there is hope that they will remodel and reopen sometime in future. We had found another great German restaurant...More
My mother was of German descent, this restuarant was the best food I have ever eaten that tasted exactly like my mother and Oma made. It was all home made and very authentic. I don't know who wrote that about the food(sxtitch2832) but you obivously...More
Although I was never overly impressed with the food or the friendliness, it was the only German restaurant for miles around. It will be missed (something was better than nothing at all).
Wow, even with our seat belts on, last night's visit here was a bumpy, bumpy ride. Emotions went from irritation, to incredulity, to anger, to resignation, to a feeling of admiration for the single waitress who did everything she could to make this mess at...More
The food was fantastic. Very rich flavors and good size portions. The female owner of the restaurant was not very friendly. There are a lot of neat items to see inside the restaurant. This would be a 5 star restaurant, Minus one star for the...More

This German restaurant could easily hold it's own in a city like New York! Reservations a must to get a table.
Consider by many people as one of our region and nation's best German restaurants. Pretty good access from US321 and I-40. Worth a trip just to eat there.
